Here is a suggestion. Next time you're comparing two products with similar names, just say iPhone or galaxy! it was really hard to keep up with the way you kept saying 10s and s10 back forth. Sometimes i couldn't tell what specs you were referring to?
I went with iPhone Xs over the s10. Samsung make stunning displays can’t deny that. But I’m not a fan of Samsung UI built in. A lot of it I would never use. Apples ios is simple. Basic. But simple non the less. Both are great phones again just comes down to preference. Can’t go wrong with either device. Also xs was £170 cheaper for me than the s10 plus strangely.

If you aren’t using it most of the day watching media or gaming the phone will last all day. However if your using it intensely for gaming and watching media ie TH-cam/taking photos or videos. Then it will last around 8-10hrs. The phone supports fast charging even tho the supported charger doesn’t come in the box. So u might want to purchase it since the charger supplied is slow ngl. However if you have an iPad Pro charger around that will work just fine. That’s what I use and it takes about 30-45mins to full charge. I hope this helps. It’s a good phone and worth the £100 saving over the iPhone 11. The battery in the 11 is better when I looked at comparisons videos online. So again it will come down to if you feel it’s worth the extra £100. Let me know what u decide in the end.

Don’t get me wrong Samsung make make good phones too but they are feature packed and a lot of it I won’t use. Apps are designed for the iPhones and tend to run more smooth. It just comes down to what you prefer. The s10 is around £800 so a little more pricey but they go for around £500 if you buy refurbished or secondhand. I don’t think retailers do refunds nowadays unless the device is faulty. Once u open the plastic wrap around the box. Apple do but u have to buy direct from their store and they are no longer selling the Xs in store unless refurbished.
The reason the Xs is heavier is beacuse the metal on the xs is stainles steel while the s10 has aluminun. And the reason the s10 is faster is beacuse apps open different on Ios and Android. And the Iphones chip is more powerful than the samsungs chip. And the Xs has better baterylife than the X.
i was hesitating until i thought of something. i often watch youtube/netflix in bed before sleeping and sometimes i need to charge while having earpods plugged in (yes ear not air as they cost a fraction of the price yet still have better sound). the samsung can have both plugged, the iphone can't, it needs a dongle. So im going samsung

For example, the S7 only supports upto OREO officially but you make it sound like it's unusable without PIE support. Android is way more customizable . I run the iOS x launcher on my Motorola and people trip that isn't an iPhone because it has the iPhone skin. Try doing that on apple

It depends on which operating system you prefer. If you like iphones and the ios, then i think you should keep it. But if you've been thinking of switching to android, i reccomend going for the s10+

May I note that s10 face recognition is extremely bad, where as iphone is way more advanced for that using proper mechanics. And before anyone says "apple fan boy" I'm using my android phone. S10 can easily be accessed using basic pictures either printed or on a screen. Regardless if you turn off the "faster unlock" option.
I traded my iPhone for a galaxy 10s and I found that they both did their jobs but my favorite is the galaxy bc it's more customizable and not a one trick money like my iPhone x was. I have been using Apple all my life and decided to tryout samsung. I got the S10 and holy fuck does it suck compared to my iPhone XS Max. The edge screen is really annoying since I accidentaly click the screen by just holding it in my hand, never again. and yeah snapchat sucks on it and the camera looks sandpapered

The OS is amazing but its severely held back by issues like fragmentation, scams, fake apps that install malware etc etc. Done with android phones SNAPCHAT IS TRASH and Facebook and Instagram STILL LAG. its been 10 years Google has tried many things under the hood to fix Android lag but its still there.
