FEBRU-DERE DAY 4! This yandere audio was a tough nut to crack! I loved the script so much and I've been waiting to sink my teeth into it (ha) for a long time! Originally I planned to go with straight horror rp, as the script called for, but after performing it and tinkering with the sound design, it wound up becoming a lot more melancholy and bittersweet. Is it still horrifying? Oh my, yes! Just as a proper monster girl roleplay ought to be! But there are touches of dark humor, sadness and romance, too. I think it’s interesting for a story to be about a mythical creature trying to live among humans. Like, imagine a story where in a small town, a crappy guy suddenly becomes a very good person, only for the townsfolk to find out that he was killed in the forest and taken over by a monster who oddly enough was nicer and more thoughtful than him.

Man, all joking aside, this was so good! I loved the pace of it, the atmosphere and the build was perfect. All of the musical choices were top notch too, the progression matching the script flawlessly and really helping to create that off-kilter feeling that suits this script so well. I really love your performance here, so much. I don't know how you can be charming yet eerie, warm yet inhuman, and genuinely scary while simultaneously desperate enough to elicit true sympathy, but, none the less you do. Incredible, I loved it, and thank you so much for sharing it!

"I've never been on a date before." RELATABLE. There was so freaking much Starfire energy in this audio and I LOVE it. My gosh, that ending was so tragic, though; I genuinely felt remorse for both parties involved. You know those situations when you witness a two-sided misunderstanding that you're simply a bystander to and you want so badly to do jump in and try to resolve it for them, but you either can't or shouldn't? Those vibes.
By the way, I kept meaning to ask, but I couldn't remember to until now, but, as a celebration of sorts, would you be down for a script? It isn't really in return for anything, but I started writing out something that I think would be much more fitting for you, if you'd be interested, bud!

I don't know for sure if I'd do it, because I kind of like the ambiguity of what she is and what happens after she reveals herself, but it would also be nice to give her a happy ending! -This was absolutely amazing. The most horrifying ASMR I've ever listened to.- And you really brought out such a wonderful side of the script. The listener character was always blameworthy even in the original script, but playing the speaker so earnestly really emphasized that and deflected from the speaker's own monstrous actions. And it makes the viewer uneasy when you play the monster as sympathetically as you can so they don't know what to think about her. Usually fills of this went with a slow, creepy tone, IIRC.

Holy fuck 😂😭 I expected a wholesome alien twist but I did NOT expect... THIS... oh my god, Vel, are you okay? 😂 this was horrifying. The gruesome sound effects accompanied by the creepy tone... yikes. And when she almost started crying at the end I ALMOST felt bad for her, and that only added to the horror of it all
i've seriously loved these monster girls that you've voiced with such...personality. The whole concept of this world these are in has been a fun fantasy of most of us for a long time....not even in an adult way. The dream of peacefully coexisting with the creatures of legends
Oh my, this was great! I can see why you wanted to do this script, it's like something from Junji Ito. Yan-con really outdid themselves with this script and as always you performed it wonderfully. I really got into the story and part of me is still wracking my brain as to what exactly "she" is.

Even though this "girl" is extremely creepy I feel extremely sorry for her. She just wants someone to love her and is being rejected by the one she loves. This story is one of tragedy, not only for the listener, but for the monster as well.

Wow. Honestly, how do you react to that? You find out that your date is a female something wearing your crush's skin and your crush not only had five other guys on the side, but had every intention of rejecting you anyway. Then to top it off, this creature, whatever she looks like, is romantically obsessed with you, has actual feelings, and suffers from loneliness? In my case, providing her true form is human looking enough, I'd be half tempted to date her anyway just because I felt bad for her.
Now allow me to get a bit geeky. It makes me wonder, how would she keep some else's skin from decaying while she's wearing it? Does her physiology interface with the skin and hair cells and feed them with nutrients and oxygen to keep them alive and functioning or something? I would definitely want to ask her about that. Once the initial shock wore off, I would really be interested in knowing more about her.
@TrainerblueTube I guess I was thinking since she could wear anyone's skin, there must be some mechanic that keeps it alive or she would have to be taking on a fresh skin when the current one began to decay.
