    Finally someone that knows how to shoot an air show. No zooming in and giving the right perspective from a spectator's view. Well done.

    Fun fact……..Snowbirds are great, but their equipment is obsolete and for about half of their show, they are flying outside the performance envelope of their old ejection seats.
    As a Canadian I can tell you nothing will change until there is a horrible incident in front of thousands of spectators. Then there will be inquiries, Royal Commissions, etc etc…and that will be the unfortunate end for the Snowbirds.
    Sad, but it’s the Canadian way.

    • @walking8
      @walking8  14 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      That's a sobering reality check. It's unfortunate that safety concerns often don't receive attention until a tragic incident occurs. The Snowbirds are an iconic part of Canadian culture, and it would be devastating if their performances were to end due to a preventable accident. Hopefully, your comment will help raise awareness and prompt proactive action to address the issue before it's too late.

    Does the Canadian military even have these jets?

    • @walking8
      @walking8  16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The Canadian military does not operate the Red Arrows' iconic Hawk jets, as they are specifically used by the Royal Air Force (RAF) of the United Kingdom. However, Canada does have its own aerobatic team, the Snowbirds, who fly the Canadair CT-114 Tutor jets.

    Waste of taxpayers' money and unnecessary pollution. It is a shame the same government who organizes these kinds of events also charges you carbon tax.

    • @walking8
      @walking8  14 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@milosb9979 That's a valid concern. Air shows do have an environmental impact, and it's important for governments to balance the economic and cultural benefits with sustainability efforts. Perhaps future events can incorporate more eco-friendly practices or technologies to minimize the carbon footprint.

      @CJ.6.8.9 Haha, perspective! You're right, in the grand scheme of things, our everyday worries can seem insignificant. But, taking care of our planet and addressing climate change is important for our own survival and well-being, even if the sun's eventual expansion is billions of years away. Let's enjoy life while also being mindful of our impact.

      Please, the amount of carbon tax charged to everyone that this event attracts must clean millions of tonnes of carbon out of the air. I mean, that's how carbon tax works, right?
