hello i have one sl-1210 gae, but i don't use the Nagaoka jt-1210...can you tell me the value of this cartridge ? I look every were and i don't find it !! thank you so much
Wunderbarer Plattenspieler. So ein Teil steht jetzt auch bei mir. Spielt grandios. Nur das Nagaoka sieht optisch einfach billig aus. Aber vielleicht bringt Ortofon das Century noch mal in Schwarz raus (Chrom passt nicht soo gut zum 1210). Schönes Video. 👍
Jup the Nagaoka cartridge looks a bit like a pig snout (I think the cartridge would be called "schweineschnauze" in German) lol The Century is a very good cartridge, so that's definitely a good idea to do a black version of it. But I think they should do an updated version of the Concorde MC200 first. That's a high end moving coil Concorde that has even more potential sound quality than the Century!
@Harald Meyer Nice, do you also have a Nagaoka MP-200? How does it compare to the TJ-1210? In terms of specs it comes very close to the MP-200, so I wonder how that translates to real life.
Not putting a downer on it. Not judging anybody that is either but, I'll be honest, it does sound like Technics 'Gay Edition' in English. When it comes to vinyl I'll stick to my MK2's now. Maybe put some better audio cables on them myself than the stock. I prefer the old pitch over digital anyway.

Spin the table, I want to see the wobble that the platters all seem to have.
Digiphex Electronics. There is no wobble on my 1210 GAE
My 1200G has the exact same platter. No wobble.
Most bent platters appear to be from very early production runs.
