  • MODLINE TV presents "An American Top Dog" named Blondie's Geisha, owned/handled by Paige Thomas (paigesk9dynamics.com). Paige began her life with dogs through the volunteer program at Berkeley Animal Shelter. It was during this time when she rescued her first Pit Bull Zeda. She was the typical fur mom, and learned the hard way that it wasn't the right route to take with these dogs. Paige eventually became a volunteer for BadRap, and through this avenue is when she began taking notice of game dogs. As BadRap was directly dealing with dogs from Michael Vick's case. But it wouldn't be until 2018 when she received her first legitimate Pit Bull. Her and Geisha has been inseparable ever since.

Pit Bulls are I think the best in general breed! When you get the right one it can shine doing any type of work and will go harder then any dog at it. The gameness of them trickles down into other tasks. Such good dogs. Great work!

I wish they would breed out the dog aggression though. No need to be breeding for dog aggression in 2023. Turn their drive to better tasks

The whole variety of them, from SBT to EBT to APBT. They are solid in character, affectionate to people, all other things are owner related

@@yogiyoda can't breed the dog aggression out and still keep the gameness. My Pitbull would die for me. And I'd protect him with my life.

@@antoniosantonios913 - Lots of breeds have high work drive without being dog aggressive. I had a Lab mix that you had to be careful how long you played fetch. If not, he would work himself to death. Lots of working dog breeds that would die before giving up. But they aren't being bred to be dog aggressive. The APBT breeders needs to find a new task to breed for

Good Lord This Woman is so Badass. She is such an asset for the breed. I'm so glad she had an opportunity to spotlight the breed in such a positive light. The A.P.B.T. gets such a horrible rap from the media and horrible incidents of basically horrible backyard breeding and not a responsible person to own a dog, they don't really know how to breed for the original standards of the dog with proper culling (Doesn't have to be put down to cull) anyhow this is the first time I seen this impressive owner, and I guarantee 100% She bought from a great Kennel. I almost think her dog could be Carver bred dog or possibly Sorrels
. I am happy that she reached out and found the man that put her on the right track and fixed her situation without putting her dog down. The Bond she has with her dog is almost not fathomable, good for you! I am so happy I found this video and good for you for once again showing this breed in such a good light. This Breed is so Awesome and loveable but it's not there fault they have a prey drive, it's been embedded for over a 100 years of breeding it for the sole reason. I wouldn't suggest this breed for 1st. Time dog owners or for people who can't get out and physically work them on a regular basis, they have to be worked or you will have issues with the dog being a dog. I also think the owner should know how to use a breaking stick if you encounter a dog off his lead... Accident's do happen, and people panic....Kicking, screaming hitting doesn't work if a scuffle should break out...Be calm get a good handle on the dog from behind it's head, back of the collar if their is one, and use a breaking stick properly and be on your way with ease. This lady is Badass, and her Dog is Beautiful even down to the diet! This Dog is a Thoroughbred.

What do you think the punishment should be to the owners of dogs that escape, severely injure or kill other dogs or humans?

Lol I'm amazed how @01:35 of this video it shows a Bulldog running what looks like a carpet mill and none of the tree huggers or so called "EXPERTS" are condemning this woman or anyone else in this video for being a dog fighter or training the dog how to fight which is ridiculous in itself yet however if someone has one in his or her garage, shed or basement they're automatically classified as a dog fighter🤔😒🙄 that shit never made sense to begin with, I've had my slat Mill for 30+yrs granted we've had to work on it over the yrs however it still runs fine and I put my hounds on their mill just like I would get on mine🤨.

I am the owner/handler of this dog and yes we’ve been called dog fighters, abusive and animal control called because of the conditioning tools i use such as a mill, dragging tire, etc. Unfortunately ignorance runs deep in many especially with this breed.
      Thank you

I run some of Australia's most serious working bulldogs. I honestly am so amazed at the capabilities of our breed. I have done both appda and personal protection with my bulldogs. I was the only chick and real game dog owner there. Actually proudly I was the only one who came to training with bull breeds. Like she said. It's shunned in our circles.
Not for me. My dogs are so serious they speak for themselves. But I still cop it from one or two old timers claiming the box is the only place for them
Bullshit. I'm in Australia where the breed is restricted to import export show etc but there are ways to get around it.
I'm always the only one at training events with a game dog and I'm always the only chick running game dogs. If they don't work it aint a bulldog. Where I'm from my community the title bulldog is earned.
    It's earned through proven function.
Whether that's a pull, catch or protection. If you get your bulldog working it's a bulldog. Even with the best pedigree in the world. It's a glorified am staff if it isn't proven .
    Well done sister.❤

I don't believe you have to give up on your values of rescue just to fit into the dog sports world.
Rescue pits are capable of sporting. May not win you any titles but as long as the dog is enjoying it, that is what's important.
    Not our ego.
