- Morning Glory Fizz. One of my all time FAVORITES! This is a whiskey cocktail for real nerds, like myself..! It dates back to the 1880's and is pretty straight forward and fairly simple to make. The original calls for egg whites but this is one of my vegan cocktail recipes where I use aquafaba instead. The MGF is like a pumped up whiskey sour and just so much more interesting, if you ask me. A really cool cocktail to know!
If you like whiskey sours I'm sure you'll enjoy it! And feel free to play around with the Scotch to get different results!
A couple of dashes Absinthe (to taste!)
3/4 oz (22.5ml) Simple syrup
3/4 oz (22.5ml) Lemon Juice
1 oz (30ml) Aquafaba
2 oz (60ml) Scotch (I'm using Bowmore)
Splash club soda
Dry shake (no ice), shake with ice and top with club soda. For exact technique, watch the video ;)

This is easily one of my favorite episodes. Not only do I love the Fight Club references (and subliminal Tyler pops) but I love the use of peaty scotch and aquafaba! Also it's awesome to see a photo of you "In the wild" from your bartending career! Fantastic episode, buddy!

It's funny, when I was looking for photos from Kheyo I came across this picture from the NY Times and was like "wtf, that's me!" It's from 2013 I think.

You will enjoy this on a hot day I do prefer a skosh less simple than lemon juice.
Love this drink and not sure why it came to mind when I saw the picture but looks like them when I make them. I have been doing a trick recently which is to a very small spray of absinth on the foam. Great aroma and also levels the foam nicely. I also tend to make this with islay blends or single malts, so good.
