No you should not set the same ip address i set here . You need to set ip address baaed on your network . For example imagine you are connected to an internet modem and your internal ip range is 192.168.100.X. You need to assign an ip address in this range .

Hi, If you want an inbound call center you have better to start with FreePBX system and not VICIdial. VICIdial is useful when you want to have both inbound and oubound call center with predictive dialling capability so it needs more resources. Google about FreePBX and there are multiple videos in youtube and how to install and configure it. But if you want to start with VICIdial the cheapest way to start is to install vicidial on cloud and establish a sip trunk . If your PSTN lines are in IRAN you can apply for SIP TRUNK and get linux VPS from provides in IRAN such as parspack. Before you start spending install and run vicidial on a VM ( Virtual Box ) on your laptop and get familiar with it. You need to watch at least Vicidial Training videos series till the end.

I am trying to learn how to download and install vicidial for outbound campaign. My dealer provides me the link and then administration logins and agent logins for 15 pc. When I open that link I get 3 options 1. Agent Login 2. Timeclock 3. Administration I want to create that type of vicidialer I am totally confused that it is AWS based or how it can be made from scratch I want to make it by my own and for that purpose is that virtual box as you are teaching. It means your ip is not set or you have not set your gateway correctly . Run “yast lan” command in your vicibox shell and ensure you set ip and default gateway ( routing) correctly .

VICIBox installs Vicidial automatically using the OpenSuse operating system. If you want to install it on any other operating system such as ubuntu you need to install it manually. Overall it is not an easy task to install VICIdial manually but when you know how to install you have the flexibility to install it easily on cloud platforms. So the Answer to your question is Yes. You can install it on ubuntu but if you are not familiar enough with Linux won't be an easy task for you. I have a step-by-step installation guide for my Patreon users but I'm using Debian 11 and not ubuntu. You can search "how to install vicidial from scratch on ubuntu" to get an idea of the steps.

I'm having problem with network configuration when I type, ifconfig its shows, when I type ping with my ip address the word and number on the screen keep running down it won't stop so I can try ping 8.8..8.8
***UPDATE*** I got the VICIDial server to work. I basically just skipped the entire update part of the manual (also referenced in this video). So, I did NOT do the zypper ref or the zypper up. With that said, I'd like to update the system, if it is generally considered a good idea or necessary. Can you please still comment on the below? Sadly, this doesn't work. I installed according to steps exactly; however, 1) The zypper ref and zypper up encounter error with the PERL repository and 2) upon completing vicibox-express and rebooting, the webpage for my local IP address will not load VICIDial (I did confirm I can ping the local IP address, but no web page loads). I suspect the current distro of ViciBox is prone to errors without ability to update properly? I don't know - I'm not really a Linux or network guy. Any advise? Thanks!
I can confirm it has a problem on the configuration script . I adds multiple entry in the apache listen file. Edit the file "/etc/apache2/listen.conf" with any editor that you know . you can use vim or nano for example check if you have 2 of "Listen 81" remove one of them . Its bug check if you have 2 of "Listen 446" remove one of them . Then run this command "systemctl restart apache" or simply reboot your system and try again.
@@omidmohajerani at what point should you make this edit? Before I did the zypper commands, I nano into the file you reference above. There are two Listen 81, but one of them is already commented out “#Listen 81.” This is the same for Listen 443. The second one is commented out with #. So, I don’t believe this file is the cause of why zypper won’t properly update. If you see my original comment again, it would seem the PERL file referenced in the update is no longer in the repository. So how do we update OpenSuSE before we finish the VICIDial install? Thanks.

Hi , you need to buy a sip trunk from an international trunk provider and configure the trunk in the VICIdial. Then you are able to send and receive calls. It doesn't matter where you are as you have a trunk and route to the destination you call that destination.

It means your ip is not set or you have not set your gateway correctly . Run “yast lan” command in your vicibox shell and ensure you set ip and default gateway ( routing) correctly .

@@jackdoe8483 try installing on VMWARE works station instead of VirtualBox . I afraid your problem is with VirtualBox networking module that may not be supported on your windows. Some of the other followers had the same problem and it is solved when they used VMWARE istead of VirtualBox

Thats you default gateway of you network . if you are installing in your home its your internet modem IP Address . usually 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 ...

VICIBox installs Vicidial automatically using the OpenSuse operating system. If you want to install it on any other operating system such as ubuntu you need to install it manually. Overall it is not an easy task to install VICIdial manually but when you know how to install you have the flexibility to install it easily on cloud platforms. So the Answer to your question is Yes. You can install it on ubuntu but if you are not familiar enough with Linux won't be an easy task for you.
I have a step-by-step installation guide for my Patreon users but I'm using Debian 11 and not ubuntu.
You can search "how to install vicidial from scratch on ubuntu" to get an idea of the steps.

I'm having problem with network configuration when I type, ifconfig its shows, when I type ping with my ip address the word and number on the screen keep running down it won't stop so I can try ping 8.8..8.8
***UPDATE*** I got the VICIDial server to work. I basically just skipped the entire update part of the manual (also referenced in this video). So, I did NOT do the zypper ref or the zypper up. With that said, I'd like to update the system, if it is generally considered a good idea or necessary. Can you please still comment on the below?
Sadly, this doesn't work. I installed according to steps exactly; however, 1) The zypper ref and zypper up encounter error with the PERL repository and 2) upon completing vicibox-express and rebooting, the webpage for my local IP address will not load VICIDial (I did confirm I can ping the local IP address, but no web page loads). I suspect the current distro of ViciBox is prone to errors without ability to update properly? I don't know - I'm not really a Linux or network guy. Any advise? Thanks!
I can confirm it has a problem on the configuration script . I adds multiple entry in the apache listen file.
Edit the file "/etc/apache2/listen.conf" with any editor that you know . you can use vim or nano for example
check if you have 2 of "Listen 81" remove one of them . Its bug
check if you have 2 of "Listen 446" remove one of them .
Then run this command
"systemctl restart apache"
or simply reboot your system and try again.
@@omidmohajerani at what point should you make this edit? Before I did the zypper commands, I nano into the file you reference above. There are two Listen 81, but one of them is already commented out “#Listen 81.” This is the same for Listen 443. The second one is commented out with #.
So, I don’t believe this file is the cause of why zypper won’t properly update.
If you see my original comment again, it would seem the PERL file referenced in the update is no longer in the repository.
So how do we update OpenSuSE before we finish the VICIDial install?

Hi , you need to buy a sip trunk from an international trunk provider and configure the trunk in the VICIdial. Then you are able to send and receive calls. It doesn't matter where you are as you have a trunk and route to the destination you call that destination.
