In this weeks upload we head down to the Isle of Wight in our classic fords, for a weekend full of cars, driving and good vibes! I've attended the IOW before for the takeover show, which is usually packed with show cars. This is a one day event on the Sunday, so it gives you a great opportunity to make a weekend trip and explore the rest off the Island whilst you're there!
We took 3 Mk2 Fiestas down and a Fiesta ST, all of which ran faultlessly with no unwanted breakdowns! I added many postcodes to the video to make this a useable guide for others wanting to make the trip in the future. We stayed at Parkdean Caravan park (Lower Hyde) but I would stress there's plenty more accommodation options on the Island.
The show itself was very busy this year and did lack some communication and organisation. Overall there was lots of modern Caras but I did manage to spot the odd classic too. We left at around 1pm but luckily we still had plenty of the Island to explore before we travelled home!

@@Mk2Mitch You really should mate! Ford culture is super strong here. The Ford Falcon and all of the smaller hot Fords are a huge part of Australian heritage and culture :) The yearly showdowns between Holden & Ford at Bathurst were a big thing

So you travelled via Red Funnel then returned Wight Link! I. bet that was expensive! loved the Isle of Wight as I grew up there as a child and we had massive fun!
Red funnel were running limited ferry’s as one was having maintenance. We went with Wight Link on the return leg and Red Funnel refunded our crossing. Worked out £15 cheaper! 😆

Hi the green fiesta and all in this vid is local car along with the mini cortina and yellow escort that has 4000 miles on he has a collection of cars as well as another mk1 fiesta with 20000 miles
