If you don't "waste your time" talking to stupid people, then their stupidity just multiplies until you're powerless so stop their stupid ideas from happening. I think we really need to be spending 5-10% of our time correcting stupid people in a friendly and positive way.

There's a reason why Pierre fucks off and hangs out on a beach somewhere in Europe and the Bloomberg dude is sweaty and thinks $50b is too much compensation. Pierre clearly took bets and won and Bloomberg dude didn't. This should tell you everything you need to know about the quality of judgement in all parties involved in this conversation.

Musk said that he wants EVs on the roads to combat climate change and therefore, China's success in EVs is Musk's successs. However, politicians are reading from a different script when it comes to climate change. He deserved his pay and he will probably invest the money in Mars project which is great for mankind as we are moving past fear to explore.

Why we arent talking about this in the right context? This deal was made when Tesla was nothing and nobody believed Elon will achieve the targets that was set in the deal. And if he wouldn't achieve the targets - he wouldn't get paid anything. Why it seems too much today but didn't feel too much 5 years ago? He achieved his goal - why do you care what he is fo used on? Results is what matters! Guys, jelousy will eat you up.
Just to be clear - I find tesla boring crappy car, but Elon is the goat, ton of respect for that guy.
Fully agree, but one observation: ordinary shareholders from 2018 made a ton of money. So did Elon as a shareholder. But he got his compensation package, locking in the lofty goals gains from the 2018 plan. Ordinary shareholders from 2018 got the run up but also the run down, no locked in advantages.
And they’ll get the next run up unless they panicked and sold their stock position like the Tesla Economist 😂

@@user-zo2pc5lu5q I supervise family savings too. So, I don't do that the teslaeconomist's Las Vegas way. When handling save ngs, especially other peoples savings, a minimum of vigilance and critical thinking is required. He lacks that. Wouldn't entrust him money.

It is true Tesla is a bad investment. Better go with GM or Ford : They are the future. :)
Ford and GM don't sell a tenth of the number of electric cars Tesla sells.

I expect the responsible among fund managers in the US and abroad to sell out of Tesla completely, then the retail investors and the controversial institutional can own Tesla alone going forward until those values are pulverized by Elon,

Wrong interpretation. Elon had his people on the board at Tesla who vetoed his package. The package dilutes the stock extremely and will affect many owners. If Elon deserves this package not for high profits, but for his manipulation in his conglomerate game and technological promises that are not fulfilled year after year then this is not serious capitalism anymore.
I don’t like Tesla or Elon Musk. I don’t trust neither quality or the person.
