This attraction is only a physical one though, for she liked his body but not him as a person. The reason I think this is because of the line "I like what Mari-chan likes too" which seems to hint that she wanted half of him like he was just an object. She kept talking about going halvsies with him, normally possessive people just think "if I were to get rid of him we'll be together", but she talks like she wants to keep half as some sort of toy.
