Good to see someone using the standard retail version. Less bling looks great.
I was thinking the exact same thing. I really don't care for the card holders at all. Metal cubes are nice but they are just cubes. The only thing I love about the CE is the foil on the cards and if they would have done all the cards I would have gone for the CE for sure but as it is right now I'm probably picking up this version. Depending on prices of course.
Ahh I totally forgot to mention the card holders in my review! But yes I totally agree- I think the experience is great already as it is in the retail version

Somewhat ‘late to the party’ here with commenting from when you originally published this video, I know, Tim…not without its flaws, this is a Stonemaier Game that we do still like to play alot in our family! We currently own the retail version/edition, but I’m definitely looking to upgrade to the Collector’s version/edition components. …I’m a big fan of the books and super impressed by this game’s quality of card graphics/artwork (and, a lot/100+ of them, too)! In my opinion, the accuracy of the character depictions in the card graphics/artwork are on point and top notch; alot of attention to detail, for sure, and stayed true, I think, to the books (Fitchner’s bubble gum, etc). OH still one of my favorites!! Not sure how solo is, but I upgraded to the collectors edition after a few years with retail! I saw it going for like $15 or something insane like that!
