    Oooh Emmily! You are so authentic and have such a beautiful soul. What matters is what brings you peace and happiness. I watched the whole video without taking a break and thanks for sharing your story. I have a strong feeling just as your intuitions tells you about "mom´s friend" could be your dad hence she cried. Please look for him and find out BUT most important your happiness & well being sis ❤

    Very interesting one Emmily, totally enjoyed it and some parts were actually hilarious like your aunt's clickbait wanting some money😂. Depending how you look at it, its sad, but true that some people will choose to take certain secrets to their grave no matter what. Wishing you luck that eventually you'll find out, but also keep living your life and finding meaning to it regardless. Thanks for sharing🙏

    Interesting story... Where would you suggest I buy indoor doors since yours were not dry or what should I watch for???. Thanks

    • @EmmilyTiampati
      @EmmilyTiampati  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good question. The only place I would refer you to go buy doors is the same place where I bought mine in Gikomba.
      However, like you heard me mention in my other video that my fundi said mine weren't dry; I'd advise that you get a fundi who can either help you identify dry doors there at Gikomba, or one who can take you where good, dry doors are sold.
      Given that I bought the doors myself, and then my fundi said that what I bought wasn't dry, that tells you that I do not know what to watch out for in regard to dryness.
      Apparently, they look at color and weight to distinguish dry doors vs not dry doors. Therefore, I insist that you get yourself an experienced fundi to guide you on this.

      With regards to Kenya as a tribal Country, I have found that folks from the Rift Valley or Central seem to be keener on tribe than any other community. Even in the diaspora, you are like to be questions from folks from these regions about your background. I always get that question, where are you from…seldom is it from folks from coast or western. This is just my experience, even as recent as two days ago. This was my experience even in Campo at JKUAT back in the day.

    Manze ni kama movie😂. I was gonna say how wrong it is for you to be so upfront with such intimate family issues but I wont. Anyway I will you well but I hope you find a proper balance on what you should and shouldn't share in a TH-cam channel. Good luck and please be easy on your mum; like you said she had you when she was so young and most likely she's not proud of so many things. People of a certain generation are not able to fungua roho easily like we do. She's probably in forever tears

    • @EmmilyTiampati
      @EmmilyTiampati  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      Lol, I know.. I need Netflix deal 😁
      It's the reality of my life, and my identity, or lack there of. What intimate detail made you uncomfortable?
      I feel like people with perceptions like yours make people with stories like mine to feel intimidated to share our truth publicly, in the name of 'protecting intimate family issues'. Yet, all I want is the truth, regardless of how ugly it is. Had I been told of it, it wouldn't be a topic of discussion right now.
      If anything, me protecting intimate family issues will never get me an answer. I might as well take my chances and share my story. Who knows what the outcome might be?
      In regard to tears, that makes two of us, at least.
      In regard to striking a balance on what to share on my YT channel or not, that's not a concern to me, cz I'm self aware. Besides, what's uncomfortable to you, isn't uncomfortable to me.
      My channel is about showing and speaking the truth, the reality, without sugarcoating it.

    I have listened as you narrate your whole story kabisa kabisa. And one thing I am sure is that all those relatives know your Dad. Reason why none has ever told you his identity, I don't know. I can only say someone might have forbidden them. It is not possible for a girl kwanza hapo kitambo to get pregnant and not be asked who impregnated her. From there a visit to the man's home followed to report that kijana yao amevunja mbuzi mguu.

  • @Moraleng
    @Moraleng 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Hi Emmily; if I am to speculate; and no disrespect to your mother by all means, the fact that your mother refuses about your father’s identity; my guess is, it could be the father of your crush; thinking about it; she could be hiding it because that could ruin her friendship with her friend; perhaps she’s hiding from her friend as well; just speculating.
    However the conversation was interesting and the way you are narrating it, and good luck hopefully one day you get to find him
    I can relate to your story where my mother in law refused to tell my husband who his father was; and I never forget the day when we went head hunting for him and he eventually found him and only to find out that he is my mother in laws cousin; hopefully you find your dad❤

    • @EmmilyTiampati
      @EmmilyTiampati  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Wow, I know people who've been in the same shoes as mine, your husband for instance, can relate and empathize with my story. Wacha hawa wengine wa sijui oh una reveal intimate family issues, etc etc.
      So glad your husband found his dad.
      I think their friendship already got ruined when my Mom was relentlessly against our marriage.
      Honestly, I've also pondered whether her refusing to tell me about my dad is because I'm a taboo child; i.e. whether I was fathered by her cousin (like your husband's case for instance) or by another relative; or by someone's husband, etc. Regardless, I still wanna know the truth, no matter how much it hurts her or me. If this would be the case for me, I feel like it wouldn't be my place to judge them, cz we're all human. We make mistakes anyway. I'd just have to live with it.
      Yea, a lot of people are thinking that it's that guy. Now that I'm back in Kenya, I'm gonna start pursuing that lead more seriously and see where it takes me.

    You should not be apologetic for things beyond your control.
    People should read their history and geography to understand the relationship between the Maa and Agikuyu communities.
    Rironi is located in Kiambu county and it's one of the border point between Masai land and Kikuyu land.
    Before the invasion of the British in the 1800ths the Kikuyu and Masai communities had integrated so much in many aspects.
    The Masai morans and Kikuyu, Njamba cia taa, jointly invaded Kamba land in 1895 to settle scores and share the spoils
    Mathai -a-gwaci is the colloquial name to the Kikuyus who had migrated to Narok due to intermarriage or otherwise.
    The Masai -Kikuyu unity was spoiled by division due to bad politics .

    You look Maa 😂 Momanyi is a common name in Kisii too. All people called Momanyi came from Maasai through their mothers. Mosigisi came from Kipsigis, Mokamba came from Akamba, Mogere and Omache came from Luo. Bantu tribes are quite mixed up. 😂 I was born in Kericho and I fit in most tribes. I speak 10+ languages.

    Kikuyu's & Masai's have a very long history from way back. There was a lot of intermarriage and yes, "snatching" of girls for brides. But the tribes got along very well. Many Masai's today are half Masai/half Kikuyu but they prefer to say they are Masai's. I remember when we were little my father would take us for drives and we spent an afternoon in Kajiado where we saw beautiful Masai women or so I thought. Until one of them spoke to the other "Wanjiku lalalalala......" I turned to my dad and said, "these are Kikuyu's not Masai's" and my father laughed and said "yes, they are Kikuyu's that got married in Masai land". Awesome!

    • @EmmilyTiampati
      @EmmilyTiampati  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The Kikuyu women adopted the Maasai culture so well. From language, to attire, to circumcision, to ear piercing, to naming their children Maasai names, and etc.
