    Thank you.
I wonder if this panel would agree with their reporting and analysis today now that Ukraine is under attack.

To be fair, right up until the invasion, almost everyone had it wrong. One could say McDermott's claim that the predictions that things would go terribly wrong for Russia in Syria were wrong, when, after a fashion, they turned out to be pretty square on are of the same ilk. But the basis for his claim at the time was completely reasonable. I think we should be thankful history decided to prove him (and most of the rest of us) wrong.
To his subject matter, EW obviously works both ways, and the communications and targeting issues the Russians have had in Ukraine demonstrate that in spades. I am concerned about some GPS interference in Finland that might be linked to Russian activity, and there were reports of modifications to GLONASS that might cause this.

Totally missed the Starlink issue. Also missed the massive use of small FPV drones that are not swarm technology and don't use GPS, which is routinely jammed.

    They have credible C4ISR.
    They have credible EW.
US don’t have an answer for their EW yet.
This brings US C4ISR into question.

Roger didn’t answer a single question asked of him. Why answer the question asked when you can just give a generic answer to your own question that nobody asked you. My feeling about these ‘experts’ is that they’re very good at talking about the issues because that’s easy, but can’t answer a single question when people ask them for solutions.

They could make a tow missile type emp pulse against tank active defense radars or other targets with explosively formed emp, round, and vehicle charger plugged cable into the manpad to charge capacitors on missile and the tow navigation wires could be used to detonate it within range. Or a tow type missile could fire fibre optic cable on a spool across battlefield to make hardwired network backup or connected to a digital repeater in missile fired onto a hill and at terminal distance a parachute pops out the repeater connecting vehicle and network.

If USA made it, it will cost more than a million each. Of Russia made it , it will be 1/10 of the price !
Russia have a system when ignited, will cook all electronics in tanks or large surrounding areas that make them useless. Death zone could be more than 100 m radius. I've seen the article but not sure of the kill zone area.

Why the constant concentration on Russia military? Could it be because America labeled Russia as an adversary?
The Russia military budget is smaller than that of the America military budget. Also, Russia is not involved in the geopolitical struggles with America.
In the case of Ukraine, America created the crises there and not Russia and even in Syria.
Moreover, Russia and Ukraine were brotherly neighbors until America torn them apart and against each other.
There was a time when every discussions were based on ideological differences and now it is now Russia. A country that has been encircled by NATO and is now fighting for its own survival.
Unfortunately, the collapse of the Soviet Union did not stop the expansion of NATO to the doorsteps of Russia instead, it became an opportunity to add Russia into the alliance and to be answerable to America.
Indeed, a bitter pills to swallow by the Russia hence its charted an independent path of self determination and self reliance.
By doing so created disdain and became an invisible enemy that must be labeled as an adversary and a target for destruction.
However, the World needs peace and not war or the drums of imaginary enemies.

    • @Nikolay_Grigoryev

... and now Poland is a third rate country in EU that has little to no autonomy. What is really pathetic is that politically they exist as a leader of a sort off Russophobic block. US will betray you as soon as they can gain some advantage from it.
Poland could benefit far more by becoming a trade partner with Russia and joining with Russia and China in the New Silk Road effort.

    • @antskilu1354
      @antskilu1354 6 ปีที่แล้ว

well china it self dont know what they are doing.just try to copy their model of sucsess as they see it to the other countries and that wud be belt and road " which is copy from US project building their roads to burma in WW2 under japanese bombings" they dont trust the sea or sea is closed instead they must expand deeper into continent like u.s.a. did in burma during ww2...and now in hope that unified china model will work in different countries in asia and africa. so may different cultures ,i hope they spend alot of cash atleast..dont see conection with poland really...all that having transib, northern searoutto europ etc. i quess russofobia is russian invention to excuse everything, just like they label everything as facist just everything they dont like or dont understand .there is no swissofobic or brazilfobic etc. just a tool which is used by gov very skillfully and not against kyrgystan. target is between your ears.
