K-Pop as a music "genre" was always a fusion of American pop, R&B, hip-hop, and a bit of Euro house since back in the day so it was always Westernized. Heck, even the dance styles are mostly of African-American origin. The late 2000s to the early 2010s was my era of K-Pop so by nature I like it more than the music they have today but the only thing I see K-Pop drastically doing to be more Westernized is to employ more English lyrics in their music to appeal to international fans.
I felt sorry for any new kpop fans who didn't get to experience THIS kpop era. This is GOLDEN, LEGENDARY and forever will be. The song, the vibe, beast members, man I miss this era so bad :')

What? During this time (maybe just prior) it was VIP, Cassies, and Shawols at each other's throats, as well as SONEs and Wonderfuls, maybe towards the end of those wars. We just didn't have all the social media to perpetuate fanwars, but they were still very prevalent. Not to mention the supposed rivalry between TEEN TOP and BEAST, that literally wasn't a rivalry but the fandoms always had to say it was. You should really check out some of SNSD's performances closer to their debut, such as the Dream Concert, where Wonderfuls gave them a sea of black (no lights were on) to essentially tell them to go away.
BEAST, B1A4 , VIXX, and INFINITE will forever stay legendary, I always end up coming back to their songs and cry remembering those beautiful days, I swear no one can do it like Them.

Yes, although its public grow up with them, the same happens with SNSD. Their fans are not teens anymore most have another responsibilities which came by age. Most are in college, work and some have a family to take care of (kids) so helping your favorite group to trend is not a priority anymore. Which in no way means we abandoned our guys but instead it means things are different and for what I know about those guys, they wouldn't want us abandoning our lives for them. In fact, they were always saying "beauties eat well".

Yes, although its public grow up with them, the same happens with SNSD. Their fans are not teens anymore most have another responsibilities which came by age. Most are in college, work and some have a family to take care of (kids) so helping your favorite group to trend is not a priority anymore. Which in no way means we abandoned our guys but instead it means things are different and for what I know about those guys, they wouldn't want us abandoning our lives for them. In fact, they were always saying "beauties eat well".
