    Not being an electrical guy, I don't think the idea of a common ground was something I had thought of. I use it for my power and my chassis but don't use it for my sensors. I would be worried about introducing some sort of ground hum into the circuit which would make me think about using a "pull-up" resistor, but again, I'm not an electrcal guy so not sure if that's needed. It's interesting to see other ways of solving a problem. Thanks for showing this.

    Roger. I just upgraded my pc using the same red bob. Previously used printer port. This new bob has too few input pins. It apparently has auto levelling when homing. Because my homing switches are wired to pin 3 and z homes then y/a does not work. In mach3. How can the machine know which pin it hits first on y/a to auto level if both pins are on 3. Is there any way to turn off tge auto leveling. I have never needed it. Built my cnc in 2017 no issues till new bob. Love all your cnc stuff and love where you live.
