Hi ya! Great video on the history of witch trials and the fates of those women. I was in Edinburgh last summer. We took a tour with one of the ghost tour troupes. They were excellent. We didn't cover the witches with that one. I will be back in Edinburgh next summer (2020). I love watching your videos. You are so good at this. I can now determine where you are as you go along. I LOVE Edinburgh and Scotland. LOVE IT! I wish it were possible for me to move there to teach.
I hope to see you out and about next time I'm there (I'll be with an educational tour group). So if you see a red-haired - ehmm...slightly older - woman madly waving and heading in your direction, you're safe. I'm a fan. I should say 'we'. My husband is also a huge fan. You don't move the camera so fast like some do. You pan and zoom like a pro. You are calm and clever without being chippy and too bubbly. We like your witty sense of humor. You do not 'yell' into the camera like a few we've seen. We watch you often. Take care and keep up the great work. Cheers!

Growing up in Dalkeith I remember my parents telling me that witches where tortured hanged and burned near Dalkeith country park and that the Newbattle woods where apparently haunted, there is actual a lot of interesting history online and dark interesting stories in every area Scotland has a really rich history.

🌹💙 Thank you for creating and sharing this video. I am a traditional witch of Scottish heritage; this is so sad. Approximately between 3K-4K people (men and women) met their death so horrifically in Scotland alone. Any future videos on this subject would be appreciated; I live in the states and have yet to visit Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿, and being a senior citizen with health issues, I might not be able to visit, so this information is awesome! That was great. I have been up the royal mile a few times and past some of these spots and never knew what they were for. Three gold bricks! They all they could do to Mark a spot where so many were hung! And a small fountain for 300 burnt. Those poor people, they are worth more than that after what they went through. So awful, it’s such a beautiful place with a violent history

Wow that 'memorial' is messed up. It's saying 'Well some of them deserved it'. Eh, they were abused, tortured, humiliated and eventually murdered in the worst possible way for possibly being what we would call a little bit 'extra' nowadays or just because someone didn't like them so accused them. Nasty, awful stuff. A bit of reverence is called for instead of the joviality. They weren't 'witches' to start with they were just women trying to go about their business.
