Great review !! Well appreciated since I'm a little bit fed up with the overwhelming cheap products from some Asian country with spec's that are 'a little bit exorbitant'....
Could I ask u one more question ? This projector is ment to be use in dark room, yet it starts with white background. It's too bright. How to change it on black background color ?
Great point, but sadly that's not an option. Email support, maybe they'll consider it for the next firmware upgrade - seems like a trivial thing for them to change.
I'm interested in something like this but would be hoping to hook it up to a soundbar via either optical out or HDMI ARC while at home - and since there's only one HDMI port here, I couldn't easily do that while also playing Netflix or similar, right? Do I have any alternatives or should I look at other projectors?
HDMI splitter box would work, or HDMI audio extractor - so you can either duplicate the signal with one to soundbar and one to this, or extarct the audio to send to soundbar via phono / stereo cabling.
Awesome review :) thanks! Also, Can you please suggest some home cinema projectors? Need it mostly to watch sport and movies and plan to connect it with a Bluetooth sound bar. Appreciate your help!
Is Bluetooth essential? That's not common in cinema projectors, so it seriously limits your choices. I've used the Optoma GT1080 for many years now, great value. It doesn't have bluetooth, and it doesn't play media - it's just an output device. You'll get much better value if you separate those features, which should be fine at home.
@@MakeUseOf thanks for your message :) . Yes I would like to have it connected to the soundbar which I already have. Plus watching Netflix or prime is essential. I want to fix it to the ceiling and don’t want wires hanging around
As long as you use the Pro+ as the final video output device, yes. You'd need to use a different source player, send that through the 5.1 amplifier, then output video HDMI to the Pro+. But you can't directly use the Pro+ as a player for 5.1 content as there's no ARC back to an amplifier.
Great review! What would be your advice for a full HD beamer that could be used during day (for work) without having to close the curtains? Another requirement: do not consume (much) more than a screen, so that I can use the beamer for work, w/o worrying for the environment... This one does all those stuff, except the low 300 lumens... PS - I don't need a large screen.
all work projectors are lamp based, because in order to see something, during daylight you need bare minimum 2000 lumens. in sunlit rooms you need at least 4000 lumens and if the sun is hitting the projector screen or wall, you are gonna need insane stuff like 10 000 lumens. a 2000 lumens bulb consumes in the ballpark of 200w more or less... by comparison a led display of 55" eats around 100w. basically you can't have a daytime work projector that consumes as much as a screen because physics. hopefully future tech will save us.
Is there a way to adjust the image size via the projector alone ? To make the image size smaller while having projector far away ? Not physically bring the projector closer or further away from the wall.
There's no zoom, no (either in or out). If you adjust the projection down in software, you'd end up with far lower resolution. Not recommended to try that!
Pretty sure since it has chromecast inbuilt, you can just open it on your phone and cast it to the projector. That way you can even use your phone as a remote.
Thanks for the great review! Your review really makes me think twice on this product. What I want is an Android TV enabled projector so that I can watch TH-cam and streams from various source. Portability on the other hand is not a deal breaker. Would you suggest some models or do you have made some reviews for them already?👍
I would recommend separate devices - so a home projector, plus for instance a chromecast- so that if you need to upgrade to a new OS, you can just replace the cheaper dongle. Combining these features only makes sense on a portable device, but you have much more flexibility if you separate those functions. I use an Optoma HD1080 at home, and its done me well for many years with an absolutel massive image possible at a short distance.
As soon as you said "deep Google integration" and "I'm talking to my Google surveillance device.", I noped out. And before you come back talking about smart phones: yes smart phones are not better, but at least steps can be taken to mitigate how much a phone tracks you. Moreover, a phone is more or less essential for daily life now.
This projector gets the job done pretty well. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxS9P8zTOcmQg-hH0QeUi3dspOLyYgQ6dH Bear in mind it's a mini projector but all things considered the picture quality is pretty good. The attached photo is of the projector projecting onto my white closet doors. I still have not messed with the settings but I can't wait for our first family movie night on a larger scale. If you have issues with volume not working with your firestick, go into volume settings and you will find your solution there.
Amazing product I bought one last week I love it
13:45 for example what projector?
How's this compare with XGIMI Halo?
So, can I use the internal OS to play Netflix movies? (Without a cellphone attached)
Interesting as always 👍
Great honost review, like that
Thanks for sharing your experience with all of us 👍😊
A dude.i read is for battery only?.o can be directly connected to electric current

Is it possible to use this product without an internet connection? Can I just plug my iPhone in and project the image?

Thank you, great review
Very well done as it contains information to help me make my decision regarding this purchase.
Can this project up the ceiling?

Can you run it plugged into the mains so the battery charge isn’t an issue?
Yes,and it's even brighter. But that does kind of kill the whole point of being totally portable ;)
No 3d?
Thanks for the review. Can one connect Xgimi Mogo Pro+ with a receiver-amplifier to output 5.1 channel sound?

Hi! How does it work in a black wall/screen?
No projector will work on a black wall. Grey, at best .
What projector do you have?
My home cinema one? Optoma Gt1080 - slightly older version of this one: www.optoma.co.uk/product-details/gt1080e
@@MakeUseOf cheers
hi bro!
can you adjust the brightness, contrast and color manually??
Yes

Just to confirm. So I can't watch Netflix with it?

The ansi lumens is way too low on this
This is good for people to watch in complete darkness
Not bad for the features
Tf is a meter....
