hate steve. he made FF all black vs white or black vs hispanic or black vs asian. and he does this stupid acting job when someone gives a sexual answer. plus all the questions are about sex so i stopped watching.
Not sure if anyone has gotten to 200 in one go on his version. Given the turn it has taken towards "come up with an answer to make Steve feign shock & disgust", that might be rare indeed.
@@nintendonerdsvideos4727 They also throw out questions if a certain threshold of points isn't reached after 3 strikes. Fremantle misses the point when it comes to the true charm of a game show. The 3-round could easily be fixed by putting the commercials after question 1 AND question 2.
They might not have been able to at first, but I do remember that in later Ray Combs episodes, they did. As I recall, this was the first solo win during the Ray Combs era (happened in late 1988, IIRC)
How did Brad Garrett get on a celebrity show in 1988? Up to that point, his career consisted of 2 appearances on Johnny Carson, which is somehow parlayed into a few other appearances as celebrity game show guests. Other than that, he was never SEEN on TV or in the movies. Only heard, as the voice of Hulk Hogan in a wrestling cartoon and as a Transformer robot.
First, you'd be wrong about that. He was particularly well known from the show First Impressions where he got to showcase his, well, impressions. Second, "celebrity" doesn't mean "big name star" when it comes to game shows and daytime television in general. It just means "that person you kind of recognize from that one show!" Which he fit the bill nicely as thanks to the aforementioned popularity.
+Marc412 well in 2014 a woman made 194 points and she had the top four answers and Steve said that if she had the fifth top answer then she would have done it all by herself
@jtn2002 It seemed to work in three out of the four clips I've seen it attempted. The time it didn't work was because it happened a second time to the same family, and the second player looked at the scoreboard immediately after coming out of the booth.
Wow....back then each time a first contestant scored at least 200 points in the fast money round, the host pranks the second contestant by asking silly and crazy questions and then have the second contestant turn around to see that the first contestant already scored over 200 points
I remember doing that one time so I could have some with ice cream and they turned into hard little bricks that were practically inedible. I'd say it's best to get the real frozen version.
@bluebear1985 What the producers thought of him at that point didn't matter, the viewers who remembered and enjoyed Match Game 7x would've loved to have seen him on TV again.
I agree, Steve should, but it probably won't happen. The show's producers apparently choose the double round question based on the score after the two single rounds so that neither team can get 300 before the triple round. And they might put together the Fast Money stacks so that the 5 top answers don't add up to 200. Steve once said on the show that during his tenure, 175 was the highest solo effort.
It is so amazing how may people were SO unloved by their parents that they think the whole world is out to get them! On the moon there are over 2000 lunar lakes, name one! LOL Truly hilarious, I miss Ray Combs! Amazing game show host!!
His story was so sad how he died. God rest his soul.
Trev Jones - I just read how he died, so tragic! He was such a stand up guy.

Ray: Name a number between 3 and 5.
Tom: 2
BUZZZZZZZ
He said "two" I can't breathe that is so funny
That's one reason why he was my favorite Feud host.
MetalSmasherGaming I use to hope they would get 200 just to see that
Ray loved to mess with 'em if they got 200 with one person.

Hilarious.

Canada started airing its own version on CBC in December 2019. The host, comedian Gerry Dee, isn't doing too bad with it so far.
Richard, Ray and Steve are great hosts. The current Feud should just reduce damn dick jokes lol
hate steve. he made FF all black vs white or black vs hispanic or black vs asian. and he does this stupid acting job when someone gives a sexual answer. plus all the questions are about sex so i stopped watching.
He goes for the kiss at the end with the blonde, and then the "other" woman goes to embrace him and he stalls....classic!
I don't think Ray could stand it when Tom said 2 is in between 3 & 5. XD
Gene Rayburn would've been perfect for the "Funny Men" team. Imagine him and Ray on the same show together, they'd be a riot.
This is why Ray Combs was the best Family Feud host.

McLean don't be a jerk, let Ray have his fun!
Did anyone else notice a much younger, much thinner Brad Garrett?
Don't duplicate the answers, Tom!
This was a fun episode
This is the best prank ever. Steve Harvey should do this

The person who played the character Mike Pliers on season 2 of Mathnet, awesome
Yeah...THAT'S probably at the top of his resume. Not M*A*S*H or anything.
IIRC, this was the first time that Ray had ever done this fast money shtick (as it was not long after the beginning of the Ray Combs era of FF began).
Did he say 2???
There were more than four solo wins. Ray seemed to do those joke questions fairly frequently.
If anyone know where the one he asked. Of three three stuges what was more dogs name? Funniest ever. Please post link
Don't know about dogs, but he did ask for the name of Curly's wife. It was a joke where the fast money was already won, of course.
Freakin hilarous 😆🤣
