Very nice talk James! You're really good at your stuff and then summarizing it in a good way too.
I have started working on deep learning a couple of months back, this talk was a nice treat to listen to and understand the application into Genomics ....
what are you doing now after 4 years ? I am also doing phd in chemistry and learning machine language python and tensor flow
Inspiring topics
Any example of Deep Learning in GWAS?
good talk!
What's the motivation behind the pooling layer, why is downsamplibg necessary?
to save computational power reduce the dimensionality as well as generalization power.
pooling layer helps the output to be the same when there are small shifts in the input
This dude is doing stuff.
I cannot hear what he says at 35:53 starting with "Maybe I want", can anyone transcribe? Thanks
I'm a bit late here, but I'm fairly sure he says, "Maybe I want to bind well to certain proteins and very specifically".
19:09 combining deep learning with genomics
Thanks a lot 👍
What is this word he’s saying, siliconeogenesis?
Austin Jensen I think it in silico mutagenesis
