Wiesel Micro - Build and Flight

Halfsize (47g inc lipo) SpeedsterDEN "Wiesel Light". The original Wiesel was designed by SpeedsterDEN in 2011 ( • Wisel, Light version and • Wisel light, Sloping a... ). All Wiesels are covered in www.rcgroups.c... .
Hotwired from SL grade (13kg per m³) expanded polystyrene (EPS) from All Axis (www.allaxis.com...) using separate root and tip templates.
Root chord is 155mm plus 20mm aileron. Tip chord is 75mm plus 15mm aileron. The front tip is set back 50mm from the root. Note that the templates include the ailerons; just cutaway enough EPS after hotwiring the wings and replace with separate ailerons. Maximum thickness at the root is 14mm. There is no spar. No tape except for leading edge, fin and over the electronics.
Fin and launch-grip cut from a 1mm balsa and glued in between the winghalves using polyurethane glue. Leading egde covered with glass fibre tape. Fin is covered with clear packing tape for strength. The fin is 55mm high. Ailerons are 1mm balsa and attached to the wing with 3M Blenderm tape. Control horns are 1.5mm balsa attached with super thin CA. Pushrods are 1mm garden wire.
Servos (3.7g each) and all electronics are located as far forward as I could to get the center of gravity (CG) correct at 45mm from the front (no ballast was required). The receiver was removed from it's case. The LiPo came from a UMX Timber.
Full throws on aileron and half on elevator. No expo (I'm not a fan, but most other people would use expo here).
