  • In this video, I demonstrate the basics of bottom bouncing for walleye and put a few fish in the boat using this strategy.

    Bottom Bouncing catches all sorts of things like an Ugly Stick, lol, that's hillarious. Oh yeah that perch color rapala will get'em, how about glass ghost rapala, my favorite color. I'll have to try that bottom bouncing one day, looks like fun! How about a catch and cook next time!

      Dude I think that glass ghost would destroy them. Bottom bouncing is relatively easy and you can outfit yourself for under $30. Walleye gear is cheap, IMO. I can see a catch and cook, but my walleye recipes are currently a bit unadventurous. That could change though.

    Great video, I really like that method. I would tend to get hung up alot just drifting the crawler harness around the bottom. I'm gonna have to give it a try.

      Thanks Mark! The stretch we were on was a pretty snag free area. The bottom is primarily small rocks, kinda like cobblestones. Not a ton of weeds so hang ups are rare.

    Great video. Thanks for posting. Do you ever troll down stream or do you only drifting with the current.

      Thanks David. We just drift. I have seen guys troll before. Where we are, there’s a fairly decent current so trolling isn’t really needed, but that’s not to say it can’t be done in some areas.

    Nice. I was going to ask if you were anchored but I believe you said you guys were drifting. Was there a way you guys were keeping the boat from turning in the current?

    • @discoverangling4892
      @discoverangling4892  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Correct, just drifting. Not really controlling our drift. I suppose a trolling motor would benefit a smaller craft for that, but ours was a larger kinda party boat so it didn’t get knocked around as much.

    Ya in Algonac we troll downriver just fast enough to get the blade spinning

    • @discoverangling4892

      That’s cool. I hear more and more about trolling with the current. I should try it someday. We typically just drift.
