    Finally you took a look at my current favorite brush pens :) Your reviews are so much fun! I just wanted to add something which I think is really cool. When the nib begins to fray you can pull it out, flip it, put it back in and you have a brand new nib 😊 you can actually somewhat adjust how deep you push it in! now, talking to YOU, this just sounded as naughty as it gets 😂 however, by doing that you can slightly play with how the pen performs, which also is very nice I think. Aaaand.. when you want to put marker over them or apply water afterwards you either need to let them dry much longer or use your heatgun to really make it waterproof... I thought you might appreciate this information 😊

      That tip flipping trick was mind blowing! I had no idea that was possible... Thank you.

    Hi! I’m a new subscriber! I’m feeling pretty good as I watch your video and practice healthy living on this elliptical machine!
    Anyway, I started your beginner lettering series last night. I’ve had practice with lettering, but I never dove completely in. I’ve been keeping up with my planner pretty well, but I’ve realized that I need inspiration...and that’s how I found you!
    Keep the videos coming!

    The colour names made me laugh. You’ve got floaty fancy arty ones like leaf green and pale geranium lake and then... middle purple pink.

    Loved this video. I don't letter, but I live trying new art products and giving them a play. I'm getting ready for our family Thanksgiving and I actually envy the fact that you're already done with yours. Tomorrow I get to boil 10lbs of potatoes and prep green bean casserole. Such fun.

    I think the Marvy Leplume are brush pens that u should review Ive seen them but never tried them out because I am barely beginning Calligraphy but I would love to see your review and thoughts on them as I really like your reviews on pens, fineliners, and brush pens.

    Incredible helpful as always Cindy! Would it be possible for you to review the karin brush markers and I've seen them all over instagram and don't know whether to buy them or not.

    I use all types of FB Pitt artist pens and I love the soft brush tip. I wish they made more colors available with that tip. I think currently it is only available in a small group of greys and black. The brush tip does have that firmness that I don’t mind but the SB tip is one of my favorites from them. I also like the 1,5 bullet tip pen. Faber-Castell is one of my favorite brands.
    I saw that some crafters use these pens for stamping. That would be one way to maybe have an easier time blending but of course you are tied to the design you choose to stamp.
    The only pens I could think of that I would like if you reviewed (that I don’t think you have already) is the G2 white,silver and gold pack. I though those pens might be good for journal embellishments but I’ve never gotten a chance to try them yet.

    Just got back from 2 1/2 weeks in New Zealand and basically fell in love with the country. Coffee tastes weird in the US now and my dishwasher now seems freakishly big compared to my place in NZ. BUT I get to see my dogs this weekend and go back to Texas Renaissance Fest!

    I seen a few people asking for the marvy le plume to be reviewed and just as a heads up dollar tree is selling the single marvy le plume pens in a ton of colors which i was so surprised to see there but happy to find some to!

    Hey Cindy love your videos ❤️ do you happen to know if the lighter colors are opaque enough to write on black paper? There is a white that comes in the larger set, so just wondering...

    I've seen people use the Pitt pens and the Big Pitt pens in mixed media projects. They like that they are smudgeable on a nonporous page if you work quickly, but dry waterproof. So they are good for outlining, shadows, and lettering in art journals. I only have a couple in my stash so far. But I plan to add a few more colors.

    • @purpl3lina
      @purpl3lina 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are smudgeable over gesso and acrylic paint,but you do have to do it quickly.

    Do you know is it the same nib as the brush pen that comes in the multi pack? The one that has all the different fineliner nib size.

      Lisa Marie if you have a diaso near you Id recommend their brush pens that you can buy individually. They come in 3 diff sizes and are super cheap! They’re how I learnt how to use brush pens and do brush lettering, and they’re super cheap so it’s okay if you ruin the tip while you’re learning!

      Scribbles That Matters or Ohuhu brush pens on Amazon! It's like $30 for a set of 60 and they're decent. Cindy has a review on both, and they're ultimately the same pen from a third party maker, just branded differently. I got the Ohuhus when I first started & the only crap thing is that there's no number/name on the pens

    Have you looked specifically at crayola supertips? I think I saw a crayola brush tip review, but I couldn’t find a supertips mention as far as I know. I’ve been using those based on their popularity with bujoers, and I’ve been trying to decide between sticking with them for price or caving and getting mildliners for accents/coloring/highlighting.
    Also I’m doing cooking two days early and I thought I could sub canned sweet potato for a casserole, so now I have sweet potato soup in dishes. And the marshmallow glooped and burned at the bottom of the oven. It’s been a Day.

      I think you should be fine if you just stick to the supertips; there’s so many colors, the mildliners couldn’t offer you much more that you don’t already have. Unless you’re going for more muted tones, the supertips are fine.

    • @FinchOnionDip
      @FinchOnionDip 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh, I know; my gf got some mildliners and I do like the muted colors, I’m just interested in Cindy’s opinion, since she’s done so many looks into different supplies. I’m still using the supertips right now and haven’t switched, I just keep getting the urge to have lighter colors lately. The only issues that have had me questioning besides the less saturated colors would be the juiciness of the supertips, which leads to a little bleed or more shadowing when it gathers at the end or where ever your line stopped. And their tips aren’t as fine as the mildliners bullet nib.
