What's great about Henry's input is that he separates the different levels, like racism is surely a truth and headline, but there so much more wrong that hypothetically if it wasn't overtly racist it would still be grounds for this level of backlash. Just astoundingly bad.
Edit: heated comments! I’ll just reiterate my stance for my sake. The imagery of him “as a coconut” is inherently related to his race, there can be no denial of that. The question of racism lies in intent/purpose. The TikTok (not a tweet) is very clearly a negative portrayal of the person, to then add the race-related (really stupid) “joke” it can only really be interpreted one way. Personally, I don’t assume or cast the label of racist on the individual creator of the video, let alone Napoli and their production, I think it is a fair assessment to see the fault in an attempt to use a TikTok sound to be humorous and ending up harshly in line with a racist concept and not cast as harsh a personal judgement. Also to assert Henry is wrong for acknowledging what used to be a social safety net, (I know it’s hard for people to grasp these things) being a semi-violent response to a clear social foul, is so incredibly insulated and modern and wrong on so many levels, shut up.

@rdvanbilgic341 true, and I'd add that he really loves Napoli as a city, a club, and a fanbase, and wants to stay. People tend to forget that moving to a different club is life changing for any player, as it would be for a normal person to move a different country for work, so it was quite a big decision that he probably wasn't ready to take. It wasn't worth it because he's in his prime there.
As a Milan fan, I imagined if the situation happened to Leao for example. He absolutely loves Milan with a passion I've rarely seen from any of our other players. If something like that happened to him, I don't think he would have left, even if most fans (including myself) wouldn't be mad at him for it.

@Andreas, So, is it only Osimhen that has lost a penalty for Napoli? Lobotka lost a crucial penalty against Cremonese last year during Coppa Italia, no abuse. Zielensky, Kvara (has not scored a single goal was since March until his last week's goal against Udinese) name them have recently lost penalty... no abuse on them. And Osimhen that led the club to its Scudeto title after 33 years lost a penalty and got that unreasonable abuse, And you're coming here to say it is not racially motivated? Stop joking, please, or better try to learn what racism is.

I mean... It is Italy. You've got Lazio fans and match-fixing, Balotelli situations, threats from mafia etc. No doubt Serie A is a top league with crazy atmospheres, rich history but can't deny it's also a rather... peculiar place in world football

Most of these clubs have employees who essentially run the social media accounts. Find the idiot behind Napoli’s tiktok, smack him and sack him.
