Aw, Im watching this on a cold windy day in NE England and loving the memories your video is bringing back, Cant wait to be on a Saga cruise again, Thank you so much.
Really enjoyed the video, Stephen, thank you! As a 'first timer', I'm considering a Saga cruise next year, but was worried about the food options for (awkward!😅) people like me who prefer not to eat meat. I was reassured that there seemed to be good vegetarian/vegan choices on the menus you showed.
They will cater for what ever your needs are. There are always a few vegetarian options on the lunch & evening meals & plenty on the buffet for breakfast in the Grill. If you have any allergies the head chef meets with passengers on the morning of the first sea day to discuss & if needed design a specific menu for you. Initially the cost seems expensive but it is very good value. Having cruised with other companies we are now committed to Saga.
@@stephenmann9911Thank you Steven, it sounds like I wouldn't have any problem there. Yes, I gather that a lot of things are included in the price with Saga, like gratuities and travel insurance, which might make the price seem higher at first.
We have our first cruise with Saga booked this year. Your vlog has really given us a sense of what it will be like and we are so looking forward to it.
I’m sure you would love it. At first the prices seem more expensive than other brands but you get what you pay for. First class food & the most caring staff on the seas plus it’s all inclusive. No additional payments for specialty restaurants, premium drinks & spirits, wi - fi & a few excursions are included. Lead passenger has to be 50yrs or above remaining passenger at least 40yrs. Therefore no children on board. If you decide to book, book direct with Saga not through a TA & contact me again before you do as if you give them my details you will get 10% off.
We’re going on our first Saga cruise in June after a lacklustre Christmas/New Year cruise with P&O. We saw the Spirit of Discovery on a couple of stops and was impressed by all of the balcony cabins - only to find out that it ONLY had balcony cabins! I looked it up whilst on our cruise and booked a trip as soon as we got home! Now I’m doing my research. I didn’t expect to see ANY Saga Vlogs, but this is fantastic - thank you. Seeing the library has both my sister and I happy. I’m really looking forward to the trip, even more so having watched your informative video. I’m already confident that we will be saying goodbye to P&O, because the Saga itineraries are equally comparable when departing from the UK. 😊
Glad you enjoyed the video. A lot of P&O customers have made the switch to Saga. I am sure you will be impressed & will be booking further Saga Cruises in the future.
My husband and I had a wonderful time on the Spirit of Discovery. We highly recommend it. Looking forward so much to our next cruise 🛳
Great video , very informative, loved the dolphins 😊
Glad you enjoyed it.

So pleased you enjoyed it. We too can't wait to be back on board.
Well done Stephen a good sense of what it’s like on a Saga ship. So pleased you allowed time for crew show my personal favourite.
Thanks James, glad you enjoyed it. The Crew Show is always brilliant.

Definitely! Have been and going again on Saturday. If you don’t like what’s on the menu you can choose a separate menu for veggies and vegans
@@janetowen4930 Oh OK thanks for the heads up! Enjoy your forthcoming trip. I hope you're going somewhere to escape the freezing cold weather here!?
Just watched again Steve, the Dolphin shots are terrific.

@@stephenmann9911 yes. I expect so! I’ve already told my cruising family and friends. This looks like how cruising SHOULD BE! ☺️
So the entertainment consisted mainly of endless renditions of Sweet Caroline? Don't think I'll bother!
I agree with an earlier comment, themusic is too loud. Whilst i can hear the commentary more or less, the music is over intrusive.
Can’t hear a word of commentary. Cut the music out please.
Sorry you had an issue but I checked it several times both on laptop & tv & the commentary was fine.
No problem at all hearing your voice over the sound track Steve 🙂👍🎥⛴️📷 just another wonderful video mate👍🙂🎥⛴️📷
Hmmmm just like a thought it would be, last hurrah and then the care home...... . Advice - Your video is too long and you need to speak up
