I was born and raised in Siliguri area and lived there till the age of 15 before moving to Punjab, but I never visited Kolkata. I wish I had. Yes, that's how western countries are. The city public infrastructure is at the level so that anyone who can walk and is not naturally mentally or physically challenged and most importantly wants to can earn a humane livelihood. I recently went to Sydney and so many trains/buses were free or very low price. Mumbai is the best city in India, I hope to go someday. Maybe one day India has many many more cities like India.
