    Great content but that beeping transition noise is unbelievably annoying you need a different one

    If you’ve got a Z-wave hub in your home this lock is a great bang for your buck and very reliable. I like your tests

      What controller are you using and how did you include the lock? I've spent 5 days trying to add this lock to my brand new controller without luck.

    I use this with Home Assistant and cannot get it to report its locked/unlocked state. Either if its changed manually or via zwave it never reports its state back. Any idea if there is a specific parameter for this? it seemingly worked for a few days then just always says unlocked or unavailable for its state. Has no issue receiving zwave commands to trigger the lock so i know the network isn't at fault here.

      @@HeatherDerieux21 I used a Pine World Pro lock system , and just bought a ULTRALOQ World's First Z-Wave Smart Lock with Fingerprint ID to replace that when it goes bad

    Can this be used with hubitat to see whos key code was entered? ex. 1234 is john "John unlocked door" or 5678 is Jack "Jack unlocked the door"

    I wish these deadbolts used 18650s, they are rechargeable, cheap and will last a lot longer than 4 AA.

      Yeah, still a way to go on the "power-friendly" side of these locks.

    Can’t get this to work with Samsung SmartThings v3 hub. Is that because it is zwave 700?

      Not sure. Check the SmartThings community. They may have more experience on the issue. Sorry I can' help more.

    I think a great addition would be to include install & a SmartThings review.

    What app works with this lock?

    • @DIYSmartHomeGuy1
      @DIYSmartHomeGuy1  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a Z-Wave lock so it needs a Z-Wave hub. Whichever one you pick will have an app.

      @@DIYSmartHomeGuy1 It is and I don’t have a z wave hub

    The very New Smarthings station no zwave?

    • @DIYSmartHomeGuy1
      @DIYSmartHomeGuy1  ปีที่แล้ว

      My understanding is that the SmartThings Station (as opposed to the SmartThings Hub) does not have a Z-Wave radio. If you want the Z-Wave and you want to stick with SmartThings, you'll need the SmartThings Hub (which is built by Aeotec)

    Is there a way in Hubitat to get alerted for the jam?

    • @DIYSmartHomeGuy1
      @DIYSmartHomeGuy1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not to my knowledge. you can always close a virtual lock at the same time and then compare the two after a new seconds to minutes. Will for sure tell you if they don't match, but not specifically the reason.

    This device is trash. It refuses to pair with my zwave network "S2 bootstrapping failed: secure inclusion timout elapsed." Going on day 5 of trying to add 2 of these locks to a brand new zwave controller on home assistant and z wave js ui.
    Z wave is garbage.
