Treasure chest! I feel like a winner after stumbling upon your channel. I tried to harness Anki previously and am excited to try again. Off-topic question...did you stay with Notion or did you migrate over to XTiles? I watched some of your other videos and I wondered if you ended up using both as some time has passed. They seem kind of the same. I have both apps on my Mac Studio and iPad and haven't decided which one to go with. If people haven't checked out your "How to organize your laptop" video, I think it is worth the time : ) If you want me to ask the question over on that video, I'd be happy to move this question there. Or, on your Notion video.
thank you so much for appreciating my videos!! 🥹 as for notion vs xtiles, i used both when i was in university!! i would recommend xtiles for those opting for simplicity as the tools & layout are tailored down to only the essentials. if you want a digital workspace that is straightforward with the least number of tools to get you familiar with, i’d say go with xtiles however, if you organize more than one aspect of your life, where each one may require you to manage a significant number of deadlines, projects, etc., i’d say go with notion. notion works like a second brain for me! it ensures that everythingggg (literally, everything) in my life has a home, where i can keep track of them. so instead of storing everything in my brain, i have a storage-organized and accessible for me whenever! overall, although quite similar, it’s down to whichever layout & functionality works for you best ☺️
Is it free, or are those features for subscription? NGL, most apps that offer such great features tend to restrict such features for subscribers (premium users).
all features of anki on the desktop version are free! 😉 if you do need to use anki on your mobile devices, that’s the only time you would need to pay a one-time purchase fee 😊 otherwise, if you’re just using anki on your laptop, everything is free and accessible 🩷
hi! thanks for your questions ☺️ hope these will help: 1. deleting cards: click on your deck → browse → find the card you want to delete → right click → notes → delete 2. editing cards: when the card is displayed on your screen during your review, click on “E” on your keyboard to edit; otherwise, click on your deck → browse → find the card you want to edit → simply edit 3. pink buttons: pink buttons are a feature on mac. if you’re using mac, go to settings → appearance → choose pink as the accent color 4. that is how the anki algorithm works! ☺️ it’s meant to give you time to rest and process the learning cards, before learning them again. this will help with better memory retention ☺️
