Living in Wuppertal, it's kind of crazy to watch this video and see people so stunned about our Schwebebahn. I have used it all my life and it's just an everyday thing to me!
As someone who's scared of heights, it was really nice to see you be so proud of yourself even though you didn't make it to the highest point of the bridge. Well done for giving it a go, you did so well! I am looking forward to visiting Wuppertal (but won't be attempting the bridge!)
Greetings from Wuppertal - nice to see the great impressions. If you like to visit Wuppertal dont miss on: - the botanic garden - the barmer anlagen (the secon largest private green outdoor space in germany) - the sculpture parc by tony cragg - the zoo - the toelleturm and vorwerk park (named after the family vorwerk who is living there ever since) and many many more things

I saw Wuppertal town from the train on the way to Dresden from Belgium! Also saw the suspending transport winding through the city here and there. Could not click pictures as the train was too fast. Thanks for showing the charms of the city as well. Would like go there for a short break.
What a stunning part of Germany with its low wooded hills, it must be one of Germanys cities with the most trees, and the floating railway looks amazing, worth visiting just travel on it. Great trip Lukas look forward to the next one.
@@harunW42 It's not the greenest city in germany. That's Siegen with c. 85% green spaces. Wuppertal isn't even in the top 10. Wuppertal is 25th with 77,5%. Greenest city per capita is Potsdam. And by size of the green spaces it's Hamburg. You can search it up on Statista for example.
I so understand the reaction of Lukas to the bridge. I have taught myself over the years to overcome my own fears, and have done various things that I could not, at the time, believe I'd achieved. Then I went to the coast of Wales... There were two routes back to the car, along the inland path we had already used, or the cliff path. I stupidly thought that I could cope with the cliff path. I walked about 0.5km before I froze in terror. I could not move forward or go back, and as the seconds passed by I felt a scream building up deep inside. My friend eventually held tightly on to me and, with my eyes shut, he guided me to the end of the path...I totally refused to go back, which somehow felt worse than the longer walk forwards, the unknown felt safer than the known! Well done Lukas for what you achieved. You should be proud of yourself.
I spent 3 days in Wuppertal a few weeks ago , went on the Schwebberbahn , like a carriage bicycle going around corners 🙂I quickly figured out the buss to catch to avoid the hill climbs to my accommodation .
Great video, amazing content!💖😍 God bless u and your family. Thank you for making us happy and smiling...🌹🌹Keep rising and shining... sending lots of Love and care 💕from Sydney, Australia.
As a person who lives in Montreal, Canada, I kinda know a bit of Wuppertal. The reason is, my girlfriend lives there. With this video, it inspired me to go live in Wuppertal. The city is so beautiful
I came to this city and i Never know the nicest places in but when i tour around i find it the most natural and relaxing place to leave. Its a good city to leave in . Nature is my part of my life and love wuppertal because of nature and historical. Thanks for this video
Danke Lukas und DW - I've seen videos about the overhead railway a few times but I don't think any of them mention the elephant. I'm planning a trip to Cologne, Dusseldorf so will now have to make sure Wuppertal gets some time as well (PS I share your issue with heights)
Thanks for sharing this vídeo about wuppertal. I live in Brazil and I am looking for more information about cities as Essen, Duisburg, Wuppertal l, Düsseldorf and other in the Ruhr region
OMG Ich wäre auf der Brücke gestorben. Obwohl ich in Wuppertal wohne, wusste ich nicht, dass man auf die Müngstener Brücke klettern kann. Das wäre etwas für meinen Sohn aus USA..
Wuppertaler Schwebebahn Germany is the best public transport in the world, there are many green areas like a park, it is very beautiful, paradise and clean and also the German foods are very delicious. That you are very afraid and scared the Müngstener Brücke bridge is the most famous in Germany because you could get dizzy and then fall, you are very careful to protect the security control as a lifeguard. Greetings from Peru.
It used to be quite noisy back in the 80/90, because it was old. But in the 2000s the whole track got replaced piece by piece over a 10 year stretch. In the 2010 new wagons/trains where introduced (build in Valencia). The new engines are super quite, just a whisper. But before that yeah, annoying, metal on metal sounds, especially when the train drove the curves.
But Germany is not a museum. So the new constructions of skyscrapers in Berlin, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Hamburg and in Munich are not a shame, but is contemporary urban development.

Yes we sometimes don’t appreciate what we have because it’s just a daily routine, but to others it’s kinda a dream.
You have a great city ❤️

In fact, it is really the greenest city in Germany and has received the nickname "San Francisco of Germany" because of its partly very steep slopes
its also Germanys city with the most rain annualy
Thats true we have the second biggest private owned Forest in germany the nama is Barmer Anlagen.

The special coffee pot is called a "Dröppelminna" by the way. It is called that because the faucets down low tended to "dröppel".
😀 Thank you for this information! Dröppelminna sounds really funny...

In the beautiful city of Perugia we have a similar transport system
But this from March 1901 was the first in the world as city transport system.
I tried to ride the railway train too last time I was there! But it was suspended indefinitely :S
@darkmegaman44 It was partially closed on weekdays in 2020 - Try next time!🚝
yes...but a lot of things at the moment are closed...cinemaxx...etc....

Please do not build skyscrapers in other German cities!! It looks so ugly given the history of Germany

Naja, Digga, es gab noch ein paar die ein unfreiwilliges Bad genommen haben. Und ein paar sind auch leider gestorben.
Sprech doch mal deutsch 😋
"Sprich" wäre gutes Deutsch.
