I've always loved Conrad Johnson. One of my most memorable listening sessions was with some of their gear on Martin Logan Aerius speakers. (long time ago, but memorable). Musical!

That CJ/ML Aerius combo was what brought me into this audiophile world back in 1994. I walked into a hi-end audio store (had no idea what that was but I went to see these crazy see-through speakers I saw in an ad…)…
When I walked up to the Aerius powered by CJ tube amps I heard a trumpet at decent volume. Sounding REAL. Being a musician I knew the timbre and there it was!
That was a revelation and here I am today almost 30 years later still chasing that realism.

these aren't those, still yet, ribbons are awesome for an Audiophile on a budget,, what are you going to push these with??? I am in the process of rebuilding some og. Carver ALSs (upgrading),,, true beasts that are hungry for sure. Going too pair w/a PS Audio Classic250 & Parasound Controler1, didn't need so much in my preamp butt got it at a ridiculously low amount, much cheaper than other, more simplified preamps I was considering,, that goes for my Classic250 as well,,, can't wait to have this all hooked~up!!! Stereo parts an vinyl just laying around waiting on me to finish a project that has taken a working man lots of time, blood&sweat, sleepin' on buddies floors, couches, dog beds an whatnot to avoid all bills while I build this. Almost done, supplied power being an issue here I am adding a Monster AV2000 for more clean, stabilized voltage&power;,, one day at a time~

+Jules Barry if choosing Parasound my advice would be to only get John Curl design models, an if you got a good Audio guy get used for sure an just have some caps replaced or what not. Definitely look into used maggies even if in disrepair, my audio guy tells me they're super easy to fix, I'm not a big fan of Emotivas equipment, butt that's just me, each ear is his own☻ Old Mark Levinson would work well, extreamly well, if you can't afford two used look into their dual monorail so one still has the ability too bi-amp. Good luck in your searches...

I wish more people would learn about the acoustic properties and sonic benefits of foliage in the listening environment. I'm not even joking. I was a sound engineer and always had plants around a P.A. or monitors. Throw some green spotlights on it. Sounds better, looks great. Not always practical though and high maintenance.

If you don't have 12,000 try the .7 or LRS with a used Bryston poweramp and a good DAC-preamp.

Modern synth inspired music sounds incredible through a high end system. Just the engineers need to lay off the compression but there's some great stuff out there.

Nice to meet you, because it was a magnpan's speaker, it was driven by Conrad Johnson's transistor model. I was convinced by actually listening to the sound. Is it a pure sound source that is said to be aesthetic, or has a rich bulging in a good way? That's excellent.
