Well I tried ... I know and expected the audio to be marginal, but I also wanted to see it the rest of my systems, the Starlink and my TH-cam setup would work, so at least a good initial test I think. I hope to get an updated controller to fix the audio issues and then try again. Thanks for watching and Merry Christmas!
I had to leave your live broadcast but I’m back to watch what I missed. this was great Joe you do such a good job updating us with great videos of giga texas thank you. I hope once you get you device you film more live flights😊
Missed the live but congrats on your first live and it was great regardless of the sound quality. The zoom works great as well. Merry Christmas from Maine.
Thanks Joe for the live video! Highway 130 @ 10:39 Joe, this is the Giga Texas Offsite Wastewater Interceptor project. More information to be posted on your regular video.
That was great joe! Your dialog is better with the live stream as you are talking what you are seeing as you see it. When you do your dialog after the fact you sometimes are just about past the object before you get a chance to add the dialog. Merry Christmas and hope you have a great new year. Please keep up the great coverage of Tesla Thanks Jim
Thanks for the live stream; I realize the extra effort required. In general, though, I'm not a fan of going live. I enjoy your curated comments and thoughtful summaries. The introductory background and supplementary information are really worth all of the effort they require.
No, I need the updated controller RC-2 as I mentioned repeatedly through the video ... That is on the way, but I thought I'd try and see if I could do a livestream. Thanks for watching and Merry Christmas
@@jayperry491 Thank you very much! … not as close as you think … I still landed at 16% … the warnings are very conservative and I did talk about my rules of thumb when it comes to battery percentage!
Do you use headphones when you fly from near the noisy highway, Joe? Please consider. I'm thinking that you don't because sometimes you seem to be slightly shouting, although your mic sounds adequate.
HI Joe, what a treat it was today. You're such a great narrator and this is why you should continue with this style of video. Your flying comments were also excellent in helping me fly my DJI Air 3 toy. You answered a lot of my questions and are helping me realize that I wasn't too far off figuring out how to keep the toy and people safe when I am flying it. I would like you to explain a little more about your rule of thumb where you double the battery percentage left and it gives you the maximum feet away from landing. I believe when you called 20% you seemed to be a few thousands of feet away in a straight line... I obviously is not getting it. Anyway, excellent video as usual... you rock.
Ideal!! Needless to say, it'd be great to follow a single CT from exit of the tunnel to wherever the self-driving takes it! Charger? North end first? Test run? Why not it;'s assigned parking after prep? Thanks!!
About why the A-frame for the super computer cluster is heavier than the adjacent ones, yes it is as you said Joe, because of heavier cables it carries. It is not just because their vertical weight is the issue but because they are heavier they have to put more tension on them to keep their sag equal to the adjacent ones, and that requires stronger A-frame.😊
That won't help as I mentioned, this is a problem with the RC-N3 controller, and not the microphones. I have ordered the upgraded controller, but there may be some video resolution consequences, but we shall wee.
Joe, feedback from your live video: your voice was metallic and the wind didn't help. I've been watching your videos since day 1. My preference is the edited ones. Merry Christmas and a 2025 full of achievements and flights.
It's curious that Tesla only had problems with this one section of the roofing membrane. Must have just had a dud batch of adhesive for it to be so localised. A lot of people, myself included, have long wondered why it's taken do long to replace, but it may have something to do with apportioning responsibility for bearing the cost of doing so, whether that be the manufacturer, contractors, or even Tesla itself, and may have required a fair bit of negotions and legal wrangling to resolve. This would be of course, in addition to any delays caused by the changes made to the ventilation ducting for the 4680 manufacturing part of the facility.
Yep. Can see the drone view from launch. Audio is pretty choppy. ❤ the fact that you're exploring new ways to get you excellent material recorded and out there.
15:46 Forget about flying through the tunnel... instead drive through it with your smartphone/GoPro in a Cybertruck on its way to the testing and calibration lot!
I think it was a good attempt, sorry you had such an issue with the sound, maybe someone here might be able to help you instead of just pointing it out. Remeber: you can't fail if you don't try! Supercharged next to cyber truck with my model 3 today and they are huge
Do you think it's possible that they will have the inductive charging setup in that dirt lot next to the end of line facility?

Where would a tunnel for the model Y intersect?
Just north of the current exit location which itself is just north of the main entrance
Seems dangerous to fly and read/respond to comments simultaneously :o

How about the new canopy over the charging stations.. It seems to me the asphalt may need a little attention under the canopy.
