Happy Birthday Squier.....I literally grew up with your guitars. Got my first Squier in 1985. They can make a damn good guitar when they want to. Always have....And yet another wonderful presentation by Dagan.....Dude, your enthusiasm is infectious. You make us all glad to be guitar players. Cheers mate!
Excellent demo and rundown on the specs. You are such a talented and versatile guitarist - which makes for a great, in-depth and informative video demo of all the guitars you show us on your channel. And I really love that, unlike most reviewers on TH-cam, you play the guitars standing up! Makes a big difference in the look and feel of the demo and even how we see and perceive the guitar - Bravo, Dagan! And, as many have said here on your channel. we love your love and enthusiasm for playing and for guitars in general! I got the black & Gold Tele - a great guitar at an even greater price! I'm loving it! I may have to get the Strat, too :)
I tried the strat yesterday. It felt and sounded so good. Really nice value for the price ($389 on sale currently.) The only thing I wasn’t 100% about was the glossy finish on the neck. I prefer a satin texture but it doesn’t seem to affect my playing. Two of my favorite guitars are now Squires. The J Mascis Jazzmaster and this 40th Anniversary Stratocaster.
i have the same gold 40 th tele and love it iam a lefty player but have been teaching my self to play right handed and after spending 729.99 on sale CND Dollars it helps me to want to play and learn righty more so now
@Mark Seymour Hmmmm interesting pov, its a perspective nonetheless and ur entitles to ur opinion...just wanting to get as many ideas as possible since I might be buying a new geetar Thx for sharing
@@DavidBrown-qp9lc how does it play and feel? I've been wanting to buy the Ruby red metallic colored strat? Because to me these guitars are absolutely gorgeous and idc if it's not perfect
I have not. I had to adjust the heights because the treble sides were lower than the bass side and it made a volume difference but everything has been fully functional and overall I really like the pickups. They are bassy but I typically like that.
Very nice guitars, until you start playing them and the wafer thin gold plating wears off! These are great for collectors, but not for players, i learnt many years ago when i wore off the gold plating on the bridge of my Ibanez Jem 7V, a repalcement bridge was expensive so now it stays in it's case, which is a shame. If you are a Squire fan, buy one before they sell out, but don't pay it too often.
@@cosmodozer That's the problem. i liked the Ibanez so much i wore the gold plating off the bridge and it looked terrible very quickly. Much faster than i expected, the gold plating must have been only a few microns thick. A friend has a CBS era Gold on Gold Strat and he has gigged with it, yet the gold plating is still there. Japanese cars and guitars are alike, they look good, but the paint and plating on the metal is wafer thin. Re your neighbour, someone will get a bargain when he sells that Stingray!
@@masdojo There is a big difference in the quality of gold plated parts. The guitars made in the far east are the worst for having a very thin plating that does not last. My custom shop Strat has gold plated hardware, it has been well played, but the finish is still there, unlike the Ibanez Jem
I’ve had the J Mascis Squire Jazzmaster for several years and have not worn the gold plate down. This one seems like the exact same material so I don’t think it will be a problem.
@Mark Seymour well Mike, I am in Canada, and with our exchange rate the cost is about $800 Canadian plus $140 in taxes. So that’s about $940 Cdn which one might say is close to $1000. Peace.

These guitars kind of look like if Fender and Gibson had babies.
That’s fair
God I was looking at these down at my local today! Can't beleive how good they feel for the money!
They look gorgeous!
I want rectangle inlays with binding on more Stratocasters!
Fortunately they're bolt-on so you can have them on any strat you want.
@@castleanthrax1833 True, but the ones they sell on the official Fender site don't have the binding
@@DigitalDevil Don't they? That's weird. That's kind of a big selling point, so I wonder why that is?
@@castleanthrax1833 I could be wrong, but from the photos on the website it appears as if they don't

Like the fret markers!
Damn these two look so good.
8:59 Who also was prepared for All my Life by the FF?😁
I was looking at buying one of these, but I went for a Michael Kelly 1950s Burl burst instead. Nice gold hardware too.
Yeah Squier rules. Will buy em all.
Awesome!

Too bad they don’t make them in Lefty’s! Love to have one of the Tele’s!!!
that intro sounded like mr speed by kiss!
Just to understand, do they have Classic Vibe specs?
At last review I was waiting for. But looking for the price I wonder if Mexican Strat is not the better option. Price is almost the same
Look real nice...but im guessing if you can afford them...fender Mexico and silver sky SE are still the better choice?
I would prefer Schecter Nick Johnston non US. 🔥
@Mark Seymour would you mind explaining exactly?
ik what all the hype is about, but what realities of it make it overrated exactly ?

just ordered the same Strat on Sweetwater last week on sale for 359$!!

I’m sure Degan can make a shovel sound good if he tuned it right lol
whats the riff in the beginning someone help its been stuck in m head all day
Looks like th old 60s jaguar neck appointments.
They sound weedy underneath the pedal. Look great though
40 really isn't all that long of time when you're in your 40's.
Has anyone else had an issue with the neck pickup?

Very nice but i think squire and fender have completely given up on left handed players.
Most companies have. When it comes to guitars for lefty players it's a slim market compared to right handed players.

My neighbor bought a new stingray, and never drives it. A waste of a purchase. You buy a corvette, you drive it. You buy a nice guitar, you play it.

I have an Epi Custom Koa with gold trims. Have had it for several years and I play the 💩 outta it. Never once has the gold worn down.

If you’re gonna spend close to a Grand, why not get a Mexican Tele? Then you get that “F” logo which adds a huge amount of tone.
They are around 600 bucks?
They're not even that much here in Australia.
