Jabeur hasn't been the same since that second consecutive Wimbledon final loss, a shell of her prime self. Andreeva just dragged her around like a rag doll, what a performance from her.
Jabeur looks out of condition never mind a lack of match play coming into this tournament. Comprehensively outplayed by a young woman who is going to win a lot of tournaments when she gets stronger and more experienced.
Jabeur made herself look like an amateur. Showed up out of shape and couldn't maintain decent depth and penetration on her forehand. Andreeva played well, but she was hitting a lot of machine balls in this match.
Mirra just swatted Ons away like a fly. Very impressive performance. Ons just didn't look comfortable with the heat coupled with the match being a night one.
She's out of shape. Struggled to get into hitting position and dropped a lot of mediocre balls well in front of Andreeva. Andreeva treated them like machine balls. Was clearly gassed early. Ons hits her shots flat and can't afford to hit late or with a poor base.
This was crazy to watch live. You kept thinking Ons is surely gonna come back, but Mirra never let her get comfortable - fantastic match! Round of 16 maybe even quarters for SURE!
Mirra reminds me of Chris Evert with her pin point deep groundies. Mirra is a backboard too like Evert getting everything back, and very sound footwork and plays within her abilities meaning she doesn't push too much. I wanted Ons to win, but Mirra is very dangerous and you can tell she is super competitive like Evert.

Novak? 😂 No. This girl needs a serve, for one. Penetrating groundstrokes and a strong return would help. She "may" be comparable to a pre-pubescent Novak...9 or 10 years old.

Jabuer had really terrible body language from the beginning and also looked really out of shape . Maybe she wasn’t 100% but kudos to Andreeva absolutely insane for a 16 year old.
I feel lucky that I decided to go and witness this match on Wednesday in Rod Lever Arena, at first my brother and I just plan to get in to see Alex De Minaur and Matteo Ardalni only, but then we decide since we buy a seat in Rod Lever, why not just attend from the first match.
