@@Jonny-yh2nl You guys better not be commentators because you're all pretty clueless. Her backhand wasn't her weakness, especially not on this match. Parry simply didn't go to finish his opponent off. It's something that's very ingrained in a lot of the french players. They all don't have that killer's instinct to close a match. Whenever they're gaining an advantage, they suddenly let it go and hope it'll continue like this or hope to see their opponent do their own fault in order to win the match.
This attitude needs to stop.
An amazing performance by the 16 year old , trailing behind 5 -1 in the third set and then going on to win the match in a tie breaker is phenomenal 👏

Incredibly high tennis IQ and mentality - and only 16 years old! Mirra reminds me a lot of Martina Hingis and that's a huge compliment. Her potential is sky high.

Мирра прекрасна, но еще очень молода.. взрослой силы нет еще.. она мне Гауфф 16-летнюю напоминает сильно, когда уже есть все, кроме необходимой мощи.. в жестком матче именно этого будет не хватать.. коней гнать не будем, против природы не попрешь. У Мирры все впереди, но если удастся обыграть всех естественно против не будем ))

Ничего невероятного сегодня не произошло!! Это нормально..это не прецедент!! Такое было и в 80-90х годах и сейчас!! Тем кто только вышел из юниорского тенниса все равно психологически с кем играть!! Для них все соперники равны!! Вспомните как Лючич(-Барони), Хингис, Курникова, В.Вильямс а потом Возняцки, Вайдишова несли всех под ноль когда им было по 16-17 лет..

Parry is perhaps one of my favorite players to watch on the WTA tour, regardless of her ranking. She's lowkey very much loke Mauresmo.
But...ahe choked yet another match and I think its mental at this point. Andreeva really did a number on Parry speciallu being 1-5 down in the third set.
I really like the sliced backhand as well as the single hander. You don’t really see it on the women’s tour these days

That backhand slice is so toothless. It is the biggest problem in Parry's game.
@@quinley7877Her backhand slice is very good (despite what others may say), but these are not Steffi Graff's times when women's tennis was almost an amateur sport. She will need to add some venom to her topspin backhand to be able to attack with it and break her over-dependency on her forehand.

Ну, игра Пэрри строится вокруг игры на задней линии, но даже ее Мирра возила по углам корта. Что более важно, она усложняла жизнь сопернице дроп шотами. Ее игра заслуживает всяческих похвал
@@will1929 Разве я как то или что сказал о том что Перри плохо играет просто я думаю что она очень рано пошла в атаку а Мирра поняв что по углам разводить её бесполезно просто поменяла игру точнее тактику игры я же может не совсем досканально разбираюсь во всех тонкостях игры в теннис но смотрю его поди наверно с тех пор когда по моему мнению одна из лучших парниц мира ещё была одиночницей и прекрасно помню её матч с одной из самых величайших теннисисток США но она уже вышла в тираж извините за такое сравнение но наша Верочка до сих пор играет ! Я почему сравнил Мирру с Шараповой потому что она молода как когда-то и Мария и у неё свой шарм ! Девушка умеет разумно рисковать!

damn that's tough to watch honestly. Like, I'm happy for andreeva to win, and its undoubtedly a very positive experience for her, rewarding her for never giving up...but parry had this match and simply failed to execute winning patterns when the finish line was in sight.

everyone's obsessed with her backhand cuz its one handed, but I was very impressed with her forehand most of the match...there's aren't too many truly heavy forehands on the WTA tour. alot of the big hitters hit very flat, and that makes sense for the WTA, but I really enjoyed seeing Parry deploy heavy topspin aggression. really pushing andreeva back and then coming forward to finish. beautiful stuff, and not very common these days.

Yes, but in Parry’s placement of her slice Andreeva started to take advantage of it down the line. Playing 1 hand backhand is an art, there are flashes of Ash Barty in Parry, without quite the strategic employment yet as Barty’s slice.
