I am a 45 years old Iranian citizen. I am a welding engineer and structural engineer who loves everything about motorcycles (as any decent engineer should be) and I have been working with motorcycle chassis manufacturers as their welding engineering consultant and I know a few things about motorcycles. I have an interesting but at the same time sad story for you which I am confident that you will be mindblown by what I am about to tell you... - In Iran, people cannot ride motorcycles with more than 200CC...!!! - The reason is that 40 years ago, in the early years of the Iranian revolution, there were many assassinations by rival groups and most of them were done by a team of two assassins on 1000CC or 750CC motorcycles, those magnificent Honda/Suzuki/Kawasaki's (one driving and the other shooting). The policemen and revolutionary guards were not able to stop these assassinations and they came up with a genius solution; they declared all motorcycles above 125CC as illegal...!!! - There have been no more assassinations for more than 35 years but this rule has become a norm in Iranian society (and parents love it of course). No one says anything and those few motorcycle fans like me have no voice in the government or parliament. The only thing they did was to raise the bar to 200CC. Another issue is that even those 125/150/175/200 CC bikes (which are legal) are insanely expensive and they are all low quality; like Chinese low quality (even worse)... - Since a few years ago, we can ride >200CC bikes only in the assigned tracks (if you could call them tracks) but imported motorcycles (e.g. Honda, etc.) are even more expensive, sometimes 5 times the price in neighbouring Dubai (and Dubai prices are high, comparing to other places) and we cannot afford it; even a 40 years old second-hand 125CC Honda. It's impossible... - In these quarantine days, I watch all your youtube videos one by one... I cannot describe my feelings but every time, it makes me kind of sad. It is not a good feeling... You know, we are men and men are not supposed to go soft but I just wanted to share my story with you. We are living in a crazy world. I would give up anything just to be able to freely ride a nice decent bike for a month before I die. The fact that you are doing what you love is a blessing. no man, i think this bike is more likely wants to kill you. the power is constantly there in the rev range and it will pop a wheelie when you're not ready sometimes, this bike is scary
Still waiting for Brock's Performance to crack the ECU. There's another 60-70 hp waiting to be tapped. Honestly the Z900 would be much more usable in most cases, and because the H2SX can put down 240 whp, it doesn't make any sense to be to buy a ZH2 when the ability to ECU flash (as of yet) is not possible.
I did a trackday in October temp was 41F High with some rain/drizzle, here in Michigan @ Grattan. GRATTAN of all places (track joke) Wish it was 55F and kinda cloudy back then! :) Yam, sounds like the ergos of the ZH2 are like a Ninja 650R, upright yet pegs scrape everywhere. Putting Woodcraft rearsets on my bike didnt help. Yea pegs were up higher but it threw the ergos out of wack. Subframe design with rearsets wasnt comfy at all. Puts body in odd angles!
i put woodstock rearset on my bike (zh2se) fantastic!! i should also raise the saddle by 2cm in order to have a good legs angle. btw even so it's a very big and raccomended upgrade for twistie roads

Hanging with a bike that's designed to run around a track like that was impressive. Although watching the zx-6 go up and down in turns not sure which was the more skilled rider
Youll have to get new mirrors for your zh2. I had a '17 Z900, and even getting my mechanics shop to fix it when I took it in for scheduled maintenance didnt have it fixed right. The Z900 has the exact same mirrors, from what I can see, and those mirrors just plain suck.
Have you tried the h2 or a 2011 zx10r? I'm thinking you'll like those. Try get the australian or euro vertion of the zx10r little more power due to less pollution gear restrictions
You gonna try and snag an RS 660 from Aprilia sometime soon too? I know they're out of stock until March at the earliest, though, but maybe once they're back in stock?

I thought this when it came out, and I feel this especially after watching this: I think this bike has too much in the engine for what frame-wise it's designed to do. If it was an H2, you could, but for this thing the only thing you can do is garner big fines on the highway, and you still won't get close to what this bike can theoretically do. He never came close to the stated top speed.

I am at the part where yo mention fuel consumption. Wait till summer time, it's really bad. That is my one major dislike about it. I use the cruise control also, it doesn't matter. I have even put it in rain mode, NOPE , it still sucks gas. So now i just leave it in RIDER MODE..F..1 and have a route with plenty of gas stops😂

Yup my ninja 650 snaps my neck backwards, it's so painful i hired a chiropractor to fix it.. So i use low handlebars since then, as low as possible, in order to look cool... I mean for safety..
?!? Never get a zx without getting a neck brace. If a ninja 650 does that to you, your neck will break. I have a zx6 for a few years now, and don’t feel an need to upgrade yet.

I was the guy on the other bike. I assure you Yam is far more skilled but I struggled with traction all day with the temps.
