LOVE Nakano! You could seriously spend all day here! My husband and I miss Japan so much. Hope to visit again someday! Thanks again guys for all the suggestions for when we visited! Hope you both are doing well!
Just came back from our winter holiday in Japan last month and it was amazing. We stayed 1 night in a ryokan with private onsen in Gunma. It was the most amazing experience we had. Also we experienced the train rush hour in Tokyo. People get pushed into the train. It's crazy!
My wife and I love your channel! We are going to Japan next month and your videos are helping us a lot on where to go for yummy food. Gonna continue watching more of your videos! Hopefully we run into you guys when we are there! 👍🏼
One of the main reasons why it's illegal to drink in public in America because people are filthy. People will drink and leave bottles or cans of alcohol behind.
Thanks for braving the super cold weather for us! I love your travel videos! Love to see places that I may not otherwise get to see! Of course always love the food videos as well!
💗💜❤️ Nakano!! Now I know what they are called...imagawa yaki!! I always grab a custard one on my way to Nakano Broadway or Donki. Love the kushiage place in the back streets and they have an English menu. LOL! Thanks for braving the cold for us. Looks like I need to venture more around Nakano next time I'm there.
I love how passionate you both are about food! Love love love your videos! ❤ You should come visit Guam. It's close to Japan and very much like Hawaii! You'll love the food!
I'm disabled and can't travel so seeing the cities and beautiful country sides are wonderful. Yes the food is so interesting but I love seeing everything. Wonderful!!!!!
I had been extremely busy with errands, work & cooking a dinner session for friends in the past week.😚 Now I can truly relax during this weekend, and the first thing I do is to quickly tune in to your Tabieats channel. You are my favourite TH-camrs becos you're authentic, polite & very pleasant. Love this street food video of yours. I really like looking at the small alleyways as you both stroll down them. cheers! and have a great weekend, Shinichi and Satoshi!🌸🌸🌿☘
Y'all should attempt to make that apple custard thing it looks so delicious!! I also just notice that y'all have hit 100K subscribers. Congrats!! all of your hard work is paying off!! Thanks for all the awesome videos! ❤
Subzero picnicking! A new extreme sport! That spicy takoyaki and the pocket okonomiyaki sound really good, and yeah, the mom and pop shops are the best
Looks like great quality food for very reasonable prices!! In my college you can buy a tiny amount of bad food for a lot of money. I would love to visit.
You looked so cold! Time for some soup. Great video though, I always love to see footage of the streets and local scenery. Everything looked delicious, but I think I would have gone with a hot drink in that cold weather.
i really love3 to see u both when it comes to describing taste of food n how u appreciate its tastes. im an avid follower n im coming to tokyo soon in early march. hope its not too cold.
I always visit Nakano Broadway every trip so its good to see what else is around the area. Hope you guys get the giant ice cream cones in the basement of Nakano Broadway.
I was in Tokyo around this time 2 years ago and it was really really cold. Thanks for filming this and eating all those yummy food despite the cold!! Love ur channel 😍
I'm so jealous of your mitarashi dango. I was craving it recently and bought it at one of the very few places in LA that makes it. Sadly, it was terrible... Your takoyaki looked delicious too.
aww so sad to hear about the terrible mitarashi dango. My mother loves them too and although they make them in Hawaii, she doesn't like them there. I wonder what makes them different
You guys are so pleasant. I love this channel. I have to admit, I listen to you guys sometimes when I'm ready for bed. Puts me into a nice calm before dreamland. Always good dreams.
I have a request.... I noticed Satoshi said freaking cold. I think it would be fun if you guys taught us fans some Japanese slang words like "freaking" or whatever else you use.
thank you for sharing this video. the food looks soooo good! and thank you for risking your health in the cold weather to record the food. poor shatoshis face was red from being cold :/
In Canada, IPA on a beer means "India Pale Ale"... Maybe the IPL on your beer is India Pale Lager?? LOL @ 9:34... "Which do you want?" ... "Um, I'll have a bite of both"... "Both? No!" Great Video, I love you guys. Smiles from Nova Scotia.
IPLs are fermented with Lager yeasts instead of Ale yeasts, hence the L instead of the A. I don't really drink beer so I can't comment on it personally but I've heard the IPLs are "hoppier" and slightly more bitter than the IPAs.
I feel so bad you two are suffering in the freezing cold for us! Please take care of yourselves. I enjoyed seeing Nakano very much and look forward to part 2!
I got some of the choya plum wine at the international market in my city and looooooved it! Everytime I see anything with choya on it I get it now, its all so good.
Imagawayaki seems sooo good. Especially the azuki one.i have loved what we call japanese cake that's being sold in the city. Filling is a choice of cheese or chocolate. Now i miss that.
@9:37 XD. Thanks for showing us some of the great eats in Nakano. I'm definitely going to revisit this area again next time I am in Tokyo because I didn't even know about the other parallel streets! I'd love to try that salt takoyaki and the different sushis. Inari is one of my favourites! I did get a chance to try the imagawa yaki though, so I'm glad they made your list. I shared the red bean and cheese, apple cream and the white bean paste ones. The apple cream was my favourite as well. These videos make me miss Tokyo so much, you two are so lucky to be living in such an amazing city.
I love that Imagawa yaki store! The custard and the cream cheese ones are the best! I could eat 1000 of them, I Love Nakano! I stay there everytime I'm in Japan, it's such a great place!
Great video! I love the variety and descriptions you have for the food. Next time you need a little cooler with a hot water bottle in it to keep your food warm! Can't wait to see part 2! :)
Thanks for taking one for the family, Shinichi...looked very cold! the desserts looked yummy, I'd love to try the apple cream, since I have no idea what it would taste like...even though I love anko!

Thanks guys for doing this review for us in the freezing weather. Been to Tokyo a few times but not been to Nakano before. Will go there this coming week. :)
Any season is good for food. Summer is great for fruits like peaches and watermelon. Autumn has amazing grapes, mushrooms and sweet potatoes. Winter would probably be the least interesting in regards to food. Spring has many sakura-themed treats.
Oh My Belly! I am laughing so hard my sides and belly hurt....first words out of Satoshi's mouth... "It is freaking cold!" I wasn't ready for that, too funny. I realllllly love you Satoshi!!!
Jesus, that's my melting point right there. I went during their winter and I was the only one swimming on Gold Beach at 5C lol. Love me some cold weather.

+Michael Jin (Jinseng) yep. No law against that here in Japan
oh well that is a relief. I was like "run tabieats! Its the po pos!"
One of the main reasons why it's illegal to drink in public in America because people are filthy. People will drink and leave bottles or cans of alcohol behind.
Delwyn , yeah thats true . its sad really, i mean how hard is it to just trow something away right ?
yugi4000 once people reach a certain level of drunkenness , they start caring less.

Satoshi: "Which do you want?" Shinichi: "Both" Satoshi: "Nooooooo" hahaha
