    Lex, this is the most honest and eye-opening (and watering) poker video I've seen in a while. None of the melodramatic B.S. you get from the other channels. Just straight-up & straight-forward thinking through each hand and the rationale behind each move. THIS is how you learn to become a better player! Keep up the great videos. You are a fantastic player and everyone of us have gone through the same benders. Cheers!

    The sigh - raise is the most reliable tell in live poker. Snap fold aces on the JJK board.

    Hi Lex. He does have some bluffs here, AQ with the As or AT with the As. Something like QT with the Qs is also possible. Or to be really gangsta TT or even QQ (with a spade) which he now realises is no good. I am not sure whether these players will turn QQ into a bluff. As far as value, he is repping really only KJ for a flopped boat or the turned nut flush with something like ATs. Wouldnt he check raise all in on the turn tho? Dicey slow playing a flush on a paired board, what if the board double pairs or a fourth spade comes out. Similarly, I am discounting him having any Jx. Those hands should always be check raising flop with a flush draw out there.
    As far as hands you have to call down with, AA without a spade is kind of so so. You have some AK here which would play this way, mayb AK is a better call down due to slightly blocking KJ. You also have some AJ here for trips top kicker which would play the same way, as well as some flushes and boats yourself. All in all, mayb going for 3 streets with AA was a bit thin and you should fold once raised. On the other hand, like I said his line just doesn't add up, he is repping very narrow of KJ or the nut flush. Its a real coin flip. I am going to go with... call.

    • @tlea31
      @tlea31 ปีที่แล้ว

      Omg just saw his hand wow did not expect that at all. Omg like, is JT even a raise there?! Its very thin. What is he hoping to get called by? Basically AA or AK. He still loses to full houses, flushes and better trips. You could easily be sitting there with AJ. Wow to x/r JT on the river.... I don't like it. I think his reaction was authentic, like he knew he was most likely beat but was pot committed. Very interesting hand Lex.

    • @dangnguyenhai8971
      @dangnguyenhai8971 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I cannot see how it’s not easy folding aces here.
      1st: poker live is under bluff, and reraise on the river even makes it much more under bluff here
      2nd: if they wanted to bluff, they would start on the turn. Check call flop and turn then reraise on the river is completely trips or better.
      3rd: bluffs here maybe include AQ or Q10 for gutshot draw with 1 spade but Aces block so many combo.
      Easy fold? Yep too easy

    I would have folded in a millisecond. Rise on the river in live games is almost always the nuts and in your case could be both flush and full house or trips all of them beating your two pairs. Yes it’s exploitable to fold to a river rise but the frequency of being a bluff in live games is often way lower than online.

    I think you're way too harsh on yourself. I would give your play today a C-. They ATo hand was the worst played on them all. Very spewy. The KQo hand is somewhat bad but not as bad, and the pocket 8s hand is a somewhat reasonable fold.
    In general mulitway pot you can play tighter, which the pocket 8's and KQo hand were. I'm surprised you didn't fold on the flop.

    On the AA hand facing a reraise on the river, you have to fold. Could have the flush or trips judging by how he played the hand. On the hand where you had KQ and the villain got a straight, I think you were overvaluing your hand. With two callers the whole way through, one could have easily of had a,q and you had to figure one of them was on a straight draw. (Could have reasonably had a pair of 5's)
