2:44 I don't know if it's true, but the story I heard is that David Boreanaz injured himself between seasons 4 and 5, which resulted in him unable to exercise, and he gained a little weight, which explains why he looks a little different in this season. But also, at this point it's been 8 years since Buffy season 1, and if you compare how he looked then to how he looked now, he naturally looks much older. As much as I wish we'd gotten more seasons of Angel, maybe it's good it ended when it did. Nobody stays young forever.
3:50😂 There it is that clip has been in many tributes I have seen for Spike🤘 And oh boy yeah Lindsey going by Doyle.. that will end well, Stay awesome Dakara great reaction and review as always... Long live The renegade rebel love 🤘
1:16 Here's the pairing we needed. Always loved Lindsey (and Christian Kane in general. He makes some pretty great music as well, if you like Hard Country / Southern Rock). 5:38 Such a bad-a$$ call-back to the first episode. 🤘 6:57 All the dream sequences are great, but this scene is a bit of surrealist comedy gold. Fred /Amy Acker is a Goddess. 😉🤣😻
"Why did that look weird there" - it's a shot Whedon liked experimenting with in his shows - double focus - he gets the DP to take two focused shots (one of foreground and one of background) and he splices them together so everything is in perfect focus and there is no depth. I personally hate those shots but there we go :D
You seem to mix two Buffy-creatures together. 1.The parasite from Bad Eggs (s2e12), where the Bezoar lays eggs that hatch these parasite babies, one of them gets stabbed by Buffy with scissors and a couple of eggs get smashed with a toolbox. The parasites do look alike. 2. The box maybe reminds you of the Box of Gavrok from Choices (s3e19) from wich came forth spiders. The mayor ate them to start his Ascension.
Lindsey is playing his own game, the endgame he has planned is not clear though. Calling himself Doyle and pretending to have visions is a direct dig against Angel. Eve working with Lindsey is a head-scratcher. She might see him as a means to an end, a way to gain more power than she has now. Having him as a lover is just a perk. Playing Spike as a puppet is not a good idea. Granted, he might love the thought of sticking it to Angel, but he will not like being used.
You might be thinking of the spiders the Mayor ate for his ritual, that came in the box? Davrok spiders? If they are Davrok spiders, I have way too much Buffy Trivia in my brain as I didn't Google it😅
A pretty decent effort from David Boreanaz Directing his own episode. We see Spike reveling again in his hollow victory in Angel's dream. An the interminable Lindsay is back again like a sore thumb, basically he is the Angel Show's answer to the abominable Ethan Rayne in BTVS every time they turn up it is mayhem for their victims. Lindsay trying to get Spike on side pretending to be Doyle is despicable, and we have Angel delirious and infected. When he thinks Fred is cutting him open open and removing organs we get comic relief with the number plate, as you said an obvious reference to the film Jaws. One of the funniest things ever is when they are singing for he's a jolly good fellow to Spike and all the women giggle like schoolgirls when he speaks. The surrealism continues with them saying to Spike now you can get what you always wanted to become a real boy I think an obvious wink to Steven Spielberg's A.I. or Pinocchio if you like. Angel looking on now as the Mailboy! Funny again when Spike says to Wes and Gunn look who has come to call Crockett and Tubbs, another great reference to 80's cult show Miami Vice. A creepy scene with Eve and the parasite, after Wes and Gunn try to convince Spike to come back. An almost BTVS Restless scene when Angel is sitting in the chair in the field and they all come around. Fred lets of a chilling scream and Spike grabs the parasite. Funny when Spike says I help the helpless. Eve at the end trying to sow the seeds saying it is betrayal within his little circle, after Angel susses the ear rings, and Fred noticed too. A great effort from David Boreanaz on his debut as Director.
Thank you, ma'am. Your setup is fine. Your thoughts and reactions are on point. And I guess squishy soul-sucking monsters have been done in the past. But the Bezoar eggs climbed on people's backs and totally controlled them, not lay on their stomachs and gave them bad dreams. But if you do enough monsters, eventually you're going to redo some designs, or come up with something that looks like something else you've already done.

"There's nothing left, just a shell."
😭😭😭
Foreshadowing
That hurt! Thank you very much. Put this together after decades just now.
My world is pain.

I'm pretty sure it was Bad Eggs she was thinking of. It's what she said reminded me of.
Season 5 is so good. It's a shame it's the last one.
everyone say "Thank you, bear"
Thank you, bear.
Almost episode 100! 🥳
Take care, Dakara, and happy new year.
(Also, brace yourself, there's a storm coming, later this season.)

Two in one day? You spoil us! 💚
In times of darkness and strife, Dakara shines her benevolent light upon we mere mortals.🙏
A bit dramatic, but you take my meaning. 😉😁
Raisins! XD

No , she's thinking of the parasites from Bad Eggs.
@@filippironet9231I think she's thinking of both of them, the box full of creatures and the parasites
Well, and the box does kinda reminds me of The Box Of Gavrok.
@@filippironet9231 That's makes sense. Maybe a demonic etymological relation?
You have a pretty singing voice. Didn't those things in Bad Eggs look something like the monster in this? I think that was the episode.

This is the worst season because it makes me so sad that there is no 6th season :( Unless you read more seasons in comic book form!
❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤🤍
I hate eve lol
