Laughing at the people who are still hating on the game, but in all seriousness my favorite moment wasn't in game but a realization that the game wasn't about the perceived antagonist in the Kett/Archon, but the salvaging of the Andromeda mission. Ninety percent of the game isn't about Ryder fighting the Kett, granted that happens a lot in the process, but fighting Andromeda itself for the survival of the Initiative. Beyond that I liked the small things. Cora wanted to plant a garden. Drak and Kesh's family dynamic. Stealing a bottle with Reyes. The one that hit me hardest was the mechsuit welded to the Tempest.
I loved the game. I was super excited about it, and it didn't let me down. The people who slammed it were too busy comparing it to other games to let it stand by itself. I'm super pissed about their dropping the DLC, and I don't play multiplayer. I really hope that they come back to Mass Effect, but if they don't, I'm going to get over it and play something else. Do I see myself playing Anthem? Not really. It's not my style. I played SWTOR, but I played it solo. I didn't do raids, I didn't do Heroics, or flashpoints. I didn't want to play with other people that I couldn't trust to pull me through. I really enjoyed when they made flashpoints solo-able. That was the only time that I played them. If you can play Anthem completely solo, then I'll get it. Am I going to pre-order it like I did Andromeda? Not on your life.
The best surprises in the game for me was the mail messages you could find in New Tuchanka. Reading about nerdy Krogan LARP-ing sessions and Krogans (disastrously) trying to figure out dating was just unexpectedly hilarious!
I really liked Alec Ryder's speech that he gives just before you head down to Habitat 7. "Finding the edge of the map..." and all that. Despite his short time in the game he was a very powerful character so when he dies there's a genuine sense of loss when I see that sequence.
There's so much to love in this game. You just have to dig a little. The party banter during travels, Drack, the party members walking through the Tempest, Drack.
The game is bookended by two great missions - Habitat 7 and assault on Meridian. Obviously, rescuing and Moshae and the respective Ark missions were great too but those two really stood out to me. With Habitat 7, you had the perfect balance of a traditional Mass Effect mission of being pushed towards a specific objective and "open world" choices (ex, do you explore and rescue your shipwrecked crew members scattered about the map or go straight for the flares) all while dynamically exploring the environment horizontally and vertically with the jet pack. The end mission was intense and reflected all your in-game choices to that point. I think it gets lost in between the great cinematic main and companion missions where conversations appear from a distance and there is some disconnect. If they had more missions directly linked and narratively funneled and less that had a lack of urgency the game would have been a lot better received. Great video!
If they just made fewer fetch quests the gameplay would have been perfect. I really enjoyed the game aside from the junky animations and facial textures.
to share moments with they crew, on mass effect 1 & 3 i like u can change gear and weapons with u crew, and not be on a room only for one guy, when that place can put something else xd, and not a elevator leading to a room for only single guy/girl
My top 5 5: The return to Habitat 7, with all of the colonists from the Milky Way cheering you on. Oh the feels! 4: Peebee's Loyalty mission, the whole thing, made me really like Peebee, where before I was on the fence about her. 3: Vetra's romance, it was very well done, I instantly fell in love with the character as soon as we meet her when we leave the Nexus. The relationship with her felt more "Human" than any of the others. 2: Crash landing on habitat 7 in the beginning, it really set the tone for the first Act of the game. 1: Liam's Loyalty mission, where before he was just a "bro"-like character without much...character, this mission made him rethink himself, and realize that sometimes you can't always succeed. Also the Star Wars reference in the mission was spectacular, as well as the layout of the ship that kept changing.
I love this list. For me it's the attack on Meridian. Seeing all of my efforts culminated in the final act of the game and being told that those people support me after I helped them actually created an emotional response for me greater than any I have felt in any ME game ever. I actually earned the support I received, and despite the problems between them before my arrival, I united everyone together to help me save my species. No moment in any ME game ever felt better to me.
I have an unpopular opinion, I think andromeda was better than ME:2. I really disliked being employed by cerberus in ME2 :/ and the whole dying and reconstructed at the beginning was silly...
I loved the intro to the game when we crash to the planet and our dad (who looks similar to you even if you customize your character) helps you guys and is a badass and i never played liam loyalty mission cause the grind for it was kinda much but i liked vetras rock climbing thing
man, you haters just wnt stop will you, when does it end, if you really didnt like MEA you wouldve saw the title of this video and kept scrolling till you found something that you like or peak your intrest, instead, what happened, you saw a MEA video, a game that you didnt like, and you still clicked on it and watched the vid of this game that you say sucks, then you had to leave a comment, you had to tell some strangers for the 1500th time that you didnt like MEA, just seems kinda backwards to me, the only vids I click on are things that I like, things that intrest me, point is we heard you ok, its getting old, your start to sound like a broken record
itay natan I enjoyed the movie night also; could've put that as a respectable 5th spot too. Personally though I didn't like how the game did the first contact with the Angara. I had too many questions and the escort around the planet didn't seem to interest any of the Angara around you which I felt rather odd seeing as it's not something they see every day; aya was a beautiful intro though however! - Matt
Liam's mission was great, but since the game as a whole wasn't really serious, the fun parts of the mission just didn't stand out as they probably should. The last mission was great all up to the final "boss fight". The asari ark however, was one of the greatest missions in all 4 mass effects for me.
ME: This is the best part of the ME series. Why? Because we have the best compilation of "stuff" from part ME1 to ME3. Discovering the surface of the planet (riding Nomad). More interaction with companions.
Love the final mission hate the battle against the archon as it was kinda easy even on higher difficulty as the archon sword was kinda harder than him kinda
I wonder if the haters actually played the game all the way through? I wouldn't go as far to say Andromeda is better than two or three, but it was certainly better than one and we all liv that game.
Kind have lost a bit of respect in Bioware this time around. Dragon Age 2 had quite a bit of controversy but they pumped some good DLC. Sure Andromeda was controversial, but many elements were still good, if not better DA2 yet they gave up on the single player in favor of the multiplayer. Multiplayer is not what this series is loved for
Hard to even think of 5 which is actually quite sad..I did like the end mission with everybody showing up to help out...but other then that it all felt kinda meh
What were some of your favorite moments in Mass Effect Andromeda?
one of my faves was the bar fight with drak
BioWareFollower Mine was the part when I returned the game to Gamestop after being so bored and angry at this game.
One of my Favorite moments were the 2 Stoners on Kadara. Idk why but i found them really funny

Right? XD

I agree. He is instantly likeable

100% agreed.

I still wanna know why the ship only has one toilet, and the captain doesnt even get a bathroom in his cabin

Cora lying on liam's gem lol
The credit scene was bae, only joking ;) I liked the movie scene, it was a right rofl
1:59 HAHAHA his face!
I remember playing Liam's Loyalty mission it had me laughing at times. I love it a lot Drack's mission along with Vetra was also good.

You guys should do a review of the novel and novels to come and the 3 comic books out at the moment
I personally enjoyed the game
Agree with all of those... but I kinda hoped that the Movie night and First contact with the angara will be on the list...
itay natan I enjoyed the movie night also; could've put that as a respectable 5th spot too. Personally though I didn't like how the game did the first contact with the Angara. Thia game broke my heart smh
Honestly I wanted to explore Meridian not still be on the Hyperion... hopefully in Andromeda 2 we can explore Meridian
Liam had the best mission

1:49 too close

favorite moment when I found out bioware Montréal was disbanded. best mass effect Andromeda moment.
True

I think we need a retake Andromeda Campaign for the Quarian Ark and other DLC for the single Player
My gosh. I hated Liams mission.
every bad game has at least one good thing. Sonic 06 has the music, for starters
When i unistalled it
Hard to even think of 5 which is actually quite sad..I did like the end mission with everybody showing up to help out...but other then that it all felt kinda meh
Best mass effect Andromeda moment: hearing the game was canned, the developer was disbanded, and uninstalling it.
