Thank You Lord Jesus for setting us free: Free from the law of sin and death Free from eternal suffering Free from the chains of our own prisons Free to begin an eternal journey of knowing You....
Thank you so much for this video. It gave me so much more perspective on what Paul and Silas actually went through... and how God worked through them. I am teaching this story to my 1-3 graders in Bible study and I don't think I can exactly tell it like this, but it did give me more depth.
@@BeingaDisciple Thank you so much for your hard work and dedication in presenting the Gospel in this way. I greatly appreciate your willingness to share. May God continue to bless you and all He calls you to do.
Interesting thoughts on the on the story. Thank you. Appreciate the time you put into it. Can you expound on why you suggest the Romans would've come down any harder/differently than they have already been, on the church, if Paul had requested them to come or not, versus just leaving? Thanks
Initially, Paul is trying to spare the life of the prison guard by letting him know that all are still there. Then, the prison guard wants to let them go but if they leave then Rome would still purse the “escaped” prisoners (Paul and Silas) and that would impact the early church group that is there and possibly having them killed. So Paul uses his Roman citizenship and uses the legal process to then save both the jailer and his household and the early church from any further harm. Paul is using every possible tool that he has to spare as many lives as possible and provide future protection to this blossoming movement. If they had ran, the future possibilities of violence would have increased substantially.
Jesus told Peter in Matthew 16:19 that he was given the keys to the kingdom of heaven and whatever he bound on earth would be bound in heaven and whatever he loosed on earth would be loosed in heaven which means what he said is NOT negotiable. Peter was asked by the people in Acts 2:37 what they needed to do to be SAVED. He responded in Acts 2:38-39, "Repent and be BAPTIZED every one of you in the NAME of Jesus Christ FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the PROMISE is unto you and to those that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call." Peter said in Acts 4:12, "Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is NONE OTHER NAME under heaven given among men whereby we must be Saved." Peter said in 1 Peter 3:21 "The like figure where unto even BAPTISM does also now save us....." It does so because it REMITS SIN - meaning the INITIAL remittance and not the confessing of sin later addressed in 1 John 1:9. Jesus said in John 3:7, "Marvel not that I said unto you, YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN." That means that is NOT negotiable. He said in John 3:5, "Verily, verily I say unto you, Except a man be born of WATER, AND of the Spirit, he can not enter into the kingdom of God." Being born of water is being Baptized in water in Jesus Name, being baptized with the Spirit is being baptized with the Holy Ghost/Holy Spirit. Jesus said in Mark 16:16, "He that believes and is BAPTIZED shall be SAVED, but he that believes not shall be damned." At about that same time He said in Matthew 28:19, "Go therefore and teach all nations, BAPTIZING them in the name (Singular name and not names) OF the Father, and OF the Son, and OF the Holy Ghost." The book of Acts is the longest and most important book in the New Testament because all of it is what Jesus and His disciples said we must do to be Saved which is repentance, water baptism in Jesus NAME - Acts 2:38, Acts 8:14-18, Acts 8:38, Acts 9:18, Acts 10:44-48, Acts 16:15, Acts 16:33, Acts 18:7, Acts 18:8, Acts 18:3-5, And Acts 22:16.: And being baptized with the Holy Ghost/Holy Spirit which is addressed in Mark 16:19 (Jesus speaking) Acts 2:4 (Pentecost) Acts 8:17, Acts 9:18, and Acts 10:44-48.There is not one Scripture that says a person receives the Holy Spirit just because they are a believer. Acts 19:1-5 is a good example. All of the above proves no one's sins are remitted just because they are a believer, no one is Saved just because they are a believer, no one receives the Holy Ghost/Holy Spirit just because they are a believer, and no one is Born Again (John 3:3-7) just because they are a believer. Some say the Thief on the cross next to Jesus was not baptized yet Jesus told him he would be with him in paradise that day.. Jesus had not given the COMMANDMENT to be Baptized in His NAME until after He rose from the dead and ascended into heaven. If you are convinced you need to get baptized in water in Jesus NAME, do a search, type in "United Pentecostal Church International", slightly scroll down to just below the red box, type in your zip code, then a screen will show a Church nearest you that will do that. If you do that you will be making SURE your name is written in the Lamb's Book Of Life. Jesus said in John 10:27, "My Sheep hear my voice and I know them, and they follow me."
Not at all. Paul didn;t need to figure anything out. GOd had alreasy told him years before that he must suffer much for the name of Jesus CHrist - Acts 9.

This is such an excellent video ✝️🤍
Glad you enjoyed it
If Paul had let the Guard kill himself, the Romans would have charged Paul and Silas for murder 😮😢
What an incredible video of this scripture. May I use this video and show it at my church?
Thanks for the kind words! Yes, you may use it.
