Couldn’t be better timing Sneed. I literally have my Verizon router showing up tomorrow! I have T-Mobile rn, wanted to do a side by side. I get wide variations with T-Mobile… 200-350 down, 15-25 up. Ping 25-30, loaded 500-800 up/down, under 5 jitter. Can’t wait to try out VZW’s. Thanks for all the effort, going to be a great help for tomorrow! :)
You couldn't have uploaded this video at a better time! I literally just ordered my Verizon home internet today and will get it in a couple days. I currently have Spectrum as my ISP, I'm very happy with the service extremely reliable. But I'm not happy with paying $80 a month for 300/10 service. I do have Frontier fiber available in my area, but decided to give Verizon home internet a try as it was cheaper than Frontier and has a 10-year price guarantee you can't beat that. Also I live super close to the tower which has in N77 for Verizon.
I just got mine yesterday 01-03-2023. I posted this on your other video did not see this yet, I just got my Verizon 5g home internet. I am running it through my ASUS router. I ran the speed test while watching your video from my computer and my ping was only 25 download was 302.16 Mbps upload was 21.39 Mbps , on my phone ping was 37 and 302 Mbps download and 20 Mbps download and this was also while playing your video. I also watched a few episodes of tv over the network and had not lag or buffering. I am going to cancel my Spectrum. Thanks for your vids Sneed!
Verizon 5G Home has been excellent for my household and for $25, can't beat it. Only had issues early on because of a defective unit but customer service hooked it up with a replacement ASAP.
I want verizon cause I would qualify for 25$ but my area don't have it oof. I don't know where yo go , I'm thinking of seeing tmobile, I just don't want to go to at&t , I left cox recently after a year of slowly raising my monthly bill .
Great video! I work at Verizon and have been selling this for a while now, and the hardest part is getting people to just try it and see if it will work for them, have had some returns and the majority of them never even opened the box... I haven't seen how it all works till your video . Thanks for putting this out there. I will probably use this to show customers to show how easy it is, and if it isn't for them bring it back np just try it lol.
My cell oh is connected to Verizon towers but when I call to order the 5g home they tell me it’s not available in my area, very confusing and any advice you can offer would be appreciated
Thanks for the tip on scanning the QR code to set up Wi-Fi on the phone. I have found that it typically takes 45 minutes for the system to stabilize. During this period, you may have a steady white LED, but no Internet connection.
Verizon is saying I can get G5, but I am not too sure. I am eligible for discount. I think I might be too far from the nearest node( 6 miles, as the crow flys , but no direct line of view) AND I live in Poconos - fairly mountainous. My current download on dsl is 15m and and upload is 1.5m maximum. If I get it, will it automatically switch to 4g or lte, if the 5G doesn't reach? Do you think I should give it a try?
AT&T Fiber has had flat rate pricing for well over a year. What were you paying that jumped 50 percent? I haven’t seen anyone with that type of price change in a long time.
@@realsmt Flat rate pricing for gig is $80 with autopay. I would definitely call in and switch to that pricing. 300 is $55 a month with autopay and meets while exceeding Verizon home internet speeds.
Is the cube compatible with a multi-port switch? I have four gaming consoles, a printer, a laptop and a PC that need internet connections. I know the laptop, the printer and the gaming consoles can connect wirelessly but I would also like the cable option if needed. Great video. Saved and subbed.
I'm in the same fix with sudden and unexpected rate hikes, twice in one year after my intro rate expired and my regular rate was double the intro. I mean, sheesh! My concern with Verizon LTE is streaming while working on a separate system. It's just me. Everything else I have plugged in (Echos, tablets, etc.) isn't in use simultaneously. Would you tell me how it is when you chill with your Netflix while your phone is active and you ask your PA how long it will rain? Haha. My life in a byte.
Great video. What is the difference between ping and loaded ping? What should the range be for the loaded ping? Is a higher or lower number better? Thanks.
With latency/ping and jitter, the numbers should be as low as possible. Unloaded ping is fine below 50 Ms, the lower the better. Loaded ping is basically a more real world usage measure. As the network pull is happening, inconsistencies and throttle can happen in real time.
I believe you could always call customer support for internet/tv services to ask what promos they have to offer if not talk to a supervisor that's what one other TH-camr said which isn't a bad idea because it's either no things would stay the same or you'd get a better bargain but I thought you had at&t fiber I don't think people should have more than two internet coming into the house
I feel that FWA will be fine for most people especially as the more MHZ comes this year. And yes as you said Fibre is the best but this will be respectable...it will be incredibly to see your tests are upstairs
Just wait until band 48 and 66 is moved to 5g and they combine 48,66 and 77 together. The ask cubes I dont think can do n48 but they can do n66. The arc ones can do all 3.

Just got mine and learned 5g internet and 5g mobile are different hence why you have to park the box at a higher elevation and near a window. I get 300 plus down an around 15 up on all my devices.

Interesting set up. Just curious, what's the max distance from a tower do you think this will pick up?

Good for me so far.

Try it on ps5. I heard it keeps saying NAT type 3 which is a strict NAT. Idk why

I heard that fiber optic internet isn't available at places that are old buildings.

@@realsmt do you know how I can locate a 5g tower ?
Great video bro!! Where you at in Cleveland? In Fort Myers for the last 22 years but originally from Willoughby!!
I'm about 30 miles west of Willoughby
You notice any heat from your pixel 7. Especially after multiple speed tests?
It gets warm sometimes but nothing crazy. I think it's designed to give off a little heat.
Where at? Lakewood?
Excellent videos - loved them! I personally would enjoy video on using this deice to stream TV programming.
Check out the Verizon 5G home playlist for more content on this service.
Very Informative and helpful thanks for the awesome through review! 🤙🏻look forward to the gaming portion soon.
Great video. I just installed this and so far, it's good. I have the same question. Will it keep the speed consistent in the long haul?

Yes I enjoyed it
I just tested mine and got 215/11. Not bad. I live in the boondocks.
I also have the newer model if that makes a difference.
Wonder what the sq foot range is
What's up Sneed. Either you thuggin or hacking. Lol Fo Free! Lol 😂

Would also be nice to see an actual scenario as to where you download a file or game for a more realistic scenario.
Since Cox Cable upgraded to fiber in my neighborhood the downtime has been horrible. So I’m going from Fiber to Home 5g fml. 😢
Fire stick from Amazon delivered today. Verizon 5 G comes tomorrow . Set it up . Then cut the cord. Bye bye to comcast🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Balloon 🎈 pricing. Big cable is horrible 50%
