I was asked to make my grandbaby a bonnet, and I'm a novice at sewing. This video helped ease my anxiety and will get me through it! You are the best teacher!
Giiirrrrlll, these little cute bonnets turned out lovely and the girls were so happy to wear them! Please keep these little bonnets even after they out grow them to pass on to a great family friend or for the girls to pass along to their children when they're grown. Beautiful job and sweet baby girls!
THANK you so much I was searching and searching and couldn't find someone to just give a beginner tutorial. Also where do you purchase your fabric in the bulk. Thanks a lot , I hope to see more of your tutorials
I always take off 3in of the actual head size. For example, if the child’s head measures 20in, I make the elastic 17 inches long. You don’t want it to be too tight, especially for the babies.
I honestly don’t remember with this particular bonnet. I always take off 3in of the actual head size. For example, if the child’s head measures 20in, I make the elastic 17 inches long. You don’t want it to be too tight, especially for the babies.

Pamela Kinnebrew I would mark 8in around for cutting. For elastic, maybe 1-2 subtracted from the actual head measurement because you don’t want it too tight.
The Bible says that we are all guilty of breaking the Ten Commandments of God (Romans @). As a result, we all deserve to go to Hell because none is righteous, no not one. (Romans @). But the good news is that you do not have to go to Hell (John @). Jesus Christ loves you so much that He died on the Cross for your sins and if you Repent of your sins and Accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior then you will be saved (John @). Jesus is calling on all to repent and you know longer have to live in despair but in love, joy, and peace through Jesus Christ. Amen.

Maybe 10-11 inches because you don’t want it too tight.
Nice bonnet next time fold your fabric a bit shorter so that you can have more for another bonnet

Yw! I actually got the floral fabric from my local Joann store. The satin fabric was given to me by an older relative.
What size elastic for each? What is the baby size?

What's the length of the elastic band
I believe this one was about 10-11 inches.
Is the outer fabric necessary? I want to make my 5 month old but she gets hot easily.
I use the outer layer for the design. I’ve seen some with satin only.
How long was your elastic

How many inches would you measure for a 6 year old
Try 11-12in

Hey, what’s your question?
How many inches would you recommend for a 4 month old baby?
