I tried this last session of .gitignore but my .java files still shows, while .css got ignore, but why my .java files do not ignore?
Now...password is not working for authentication to github from linux. this time we have to paste token in place of password. and token you will get from github by going into settings and create a token.
What's behind EC2 instance check 2/2 ?

Your videos are outdated, please help them to update as well.
For example, I am trying to run the command
[ ] git remote add origin.
When asked for password it is giving error message "support for password authentication is remove from 13 August 2021".
Kindly help to explain the new concept for the same

I have been following your series and learnt a lot new things as I'm from non IT background.
Thank you for making it easy. Today I was following your lecture and saw when you commit first time from Mumbai it was in green colour and perfect, but when you tried adding the second line it was red color and in #git show it has given (-) inserts then I reversed the video and saw by mistake you used # cat > instead of # cat >> that is the reason it was not showing in central repo as well you checked it in history. And as you have copied url for Singapore linux it didn't ask for user name and login, is it because the you have already logged in ? not sure . I've observed this and wanted to ask if I was right or it happens like that (I'm following all your lectures carefully to learn) with due respect please correct me if I'm wrong.

Same observation from my end. He did not append as he used single > sign. So first line got deleted. Credentials m still clue less

to append to existing files we have to use cat >> filename.
using cat > filename; overwrites the existing contents instead.
if a new line is added in the file and there are existing lines of code which are not altered they are shown in grey color.
since the first line of shayari was overwritten it was showing in red color with minus (-) sign.
Maybe I might not be able to understand your second question well, but this is maybe what you are trying to ask: When we do # git remote add origin , why do we not require id password?
If that is the question then the answer is no. We never have to give id password for pulling the content from central repo.
Only while pushing our new code to central repo requires id and password. (according to the new github policy we require access tokens as password instead of github account password while pushing the new content)

in this video one thing is changed in GitHub updated we don't have to put a password after the username we have to put a token number which generated from GitHub account go settings=developer=select =persona; access token ...or simply search on youtube

In Linux Lec. you told Cat>> file name is command to add the text in the existing file but in GIT you have used cat> file name( same file name to add the another line)
I have the same question!
It was a typo I believe which is why only one line was visible and the 1st one was in red with - which means it was overridden

Cat>> [file] will append (adds) lines to existing file
Cat> [file] will create a file if it doesn't exist and allows you to write content....
If the file already exists then it will replace all the contents you will enter then.
