time: 15:00, but the code is pushed to dockerhub or nexus or any repo as image and ec2 pulls isnt it, i dint get git is installed on ec2. can you please help me understand
Hi Abhishek, In this video it is shown that you have downloaded git in Linux format you are on mac and you've installed linux one. My doubt is that have you connected to any aws ec2 instance or so where you select ubuntu for vm which is why you have installed git for linux or anything else. I'm asking this because I'm confused whether to install git in the vm or in my laptop. If it is on the vm then for suppose if we delete the instance all gets deleted. is it like we have to install every single time we create instances? it might be a basic thing but I'm confused. so please help me with this. if any others who know this can also answer.
Hi Abhisehk. Can you help me getting clarified for this topics in Git. 1) What is difference between git clone and fork? 2) What is difference between git branching and fork?
While talking about git initially you talked about maintaining the copies of repos using "fork" but at the end we saw that option in GitHub UI. And you said Github, bitbucket and gitlab are wrappers of git which are built on top of git . my question before this for cvs and svn there are no such tools like github existing to maintain versions at cebtralized places ? That is the reason for the downfall of svn ? please reply
Hi Abhishek My organisation is using SVN now planing to migrate to git what measures need to take can you please explain a bit more like how to give access to users like read and read write and how to configure git hub in my linux system? Plzz reply on this..
good explanation sir..But why there is no any explanation of git config user.name and git config user.email ? If I have missed anywhere in this video please do show me..thanks in advance!
