The dual controls for non-dual mini games is normal. I made some with two button controls but without 2 player mode as well, it's just Touch trigger shenanigans. Even better, you can make both players jump on P1 button and add a custom mechanic on P2 button, which combines seamlessly. Oh, and also, "weird cube physics" is a result of player getting lifted "upwards" (relatively to it) combined with a jump pad. In some cases, such combination can also make player ignore pads and just keep sliding on the moving block
