Why on earth would you care if German authorities send you to Berlin or Hamburg? My guess is that in such a scenario, you couldn't care less about where they send you, as long as they let you stay in the country. I also suppose that even if you preferred to stay in Hamburg, not because you have any links to that city, but only because that city is richer than Berlin, at the end of the day, you would rather go to Berlin if you knew that Berliners declared their city a "Sanctuary" for people who violate German laws.

    They are living in all of the police stations in Chicago. I am from a town about 20 miles outside of Chicago. I bring my daughter to the police station (a half a block away) to say hello to the police and they give her a sucker. We have been doing this Every few months since she was 2 years old. She loves it. For the first time yesterday the door was locked. The officer inside recognizing us unlocked the door. Did something happen I asked. Actually yes he replied. We have to lock it now because the migrants are starting to spill over from the city and they think it's ok for them to live in the lobby. Should people seeking the American dream be able to come here. Absolutely! But we can not just open the floodgates indiscriminately. It puts everyone in America citizen or not at risk. Our own homeless population don't have the right to just camp out in and around police stations. We need to police the border properly. Ask Mexico if they just let any Guatemalan that wants to cross the border to their south if that is ok. Mexico guards that border with a prejudice.

      Yes, and now that there are millions of them living here in the U.S. social services funds are drying up and low income and elderly Americans are suffering for it. The LIHEAP program that helps these low income families pay for heating their homes in the winter has been cut in half. That means many will have electric or natural gas cut off when they can no longer pay the bill or they can no longer pay for propane which is what many people in rural areas use to run their furnace. And the propane has nearly doubled in price since Biden took office!

    I live in a small town in Maine with 3000 people in the area.. 12 busses showed up with people from who knows where, came here and are in all the hotels for a 1000 a week when its 70 dollars a night. The government needs to get it together pushing people from other countries into our country in our communities with all these tax dollars supporting them when mainers have limited opportunities and treated like secondary citizens for other countries citizens. The cities in Maine have become the worst places I have ever been or seen after they import all these people from other countries. I'm not racist but they really should be shipped to the neighborhoods of the politicians so they can see what it's going to do to their communities

    There needs to be a yearly limit on asylum-seekers. As a country we can only help so many

    • @oakspines7171
      @oakspines7171 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      How did these illegals get asylum inthe first place ? By just granting it to them ? Asylum is only given to political prosecuted person which if the US gets involved there. Else, take a number and wait.

    • @sylviabargas3340
      @sylviabargas3340 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If their lives are truly in danger, then you can't put a limit on how many we let in. What we need instead is Trump's Remain In Mexico policy, so the migrants CAN'T COME IN unless and until they've actually been granted asylum. Right now, Biden is letting them if all they do is say they want to APPLY for asylum. And very few of them actually meet the criteria for getting it. Most (if not ALL) of them are really just ECONOMIC MIGRANTS, seeking a better standard of living than what's available in their countries. And that's NOT what asylum is for. Asylum is for people who are being persecuted, or whose lives are in danger.

Unless you’re native which I’m not, our forefathers took the SAME paths (and stimes more aggressively than them) to get here- how hypocritical of us !! I agree we should solve this, but I resent when we act like this could have never happened in our lineage because it DID !!
