there is a USB type C port on front, above the FPV camera behind that tiny black rubber cap. It happed same to me. I found it only after everything was setup :)
There is a external USB C already . its behind the cover on the camera mount . The Black bump on the camera mount pull the plug and hook it up it runs Betafight .
Thanks so much for your content! I’m brand new to FPV (currently learning on sim with just a controller) and trying to decide on this vs the baby ape pro. Tons of videos on the baby ape but this is the only review I’ve seen on this one. Really informative stuff!
Hey Justin, I haven't had a chance to decide yet about DarwinFPV. When a company comes out with a new quad, that is the price we paid back in 2015, has me thinking about what they used to get it down to that price, but I haven't had a bad experience with them. Thanks again for the video and information about this quad
Great review! I was waiting for a review on this drone to see if it is any good with jello etc. About the usb, their website states there is a usb connection in the gopro mount. Happy flying!
17:06 Voltage is probably determined by a formula. If it still works like the code in multiwii then: Number of cells = Voltage / 4.2 17 volts would be 4.04 cells which means it's a 5 cell battery. 5 cells at 17 volts is 3.4v per cell That's why there's a cell voltage in the settings, if you're using an HV battery, it should be 4.35v
its good to know some small drones can handle and whats like to fly with full weight action cam noone is doing reviews like that if you cold do more like this showing which small camera can handle it please
i have been looking at darwin for a little while now i think they are great value, i want their 7 inch and the little freestyle ripper looks decent too
So it can easily fly with a 125gramms cam?! Flight time? Also can we add gps to it to see the home point distance and direction in the googles? thank you!
Just got mine in the mail today. Waiting for 4s packs to show up… pulled the trigger after your review. usb c up front under plug. Beta flight show red warning for possible fly away on stock tune ? A little concerning , but I’m new and don’t mess with pids yet . Find myself on your vids often and get a kick out the joy on your face when picking up the machines after flight. Wondering if you were going to share your tune for this ?
Hej justin I'm super happy with your videos they've helped me a lot I fly with darwinfpv baby ape pro also I want to hear you I've looked at darwinfpv 2 freestyle or darwinfpv cineape25 I'm not very good at freestyle right now but if you could recommend one of them what should it be or would you recommend another that is not too expensive greetings Kim
Just got mine analog FrSky I have a question where is the bind button and is it a simple push n hold ?? Im want to bind it to my BETAFPV radiolight 3 THANK YOU FOR THIS REVIEW
It was saying low battery because it thought you had a 5s. Isn't there a USB-C connector in the TPU mount? Thanks for the info and test. I am gonna get one.
6 months too late, but I can confirm that this drone (I have one) can handle an Osmo Action 4 without battery and a 140g CHL 1100mah. Not brilliantly, mind you, but it will lift it and cruise around with about a 4 minute flight time. Depending on the weight of the battery you could probably fly your load as long as you know you're way exceeding what it was meant for

This comment should be pinned!
Yeh thought the same xD

Darwin seems to be good stuff for a lot less cost. Thanks for the review.
You bet

Never flown this but the baby ape RIPS
heavily considering this for my first quad i've put in a lot of simulator hours thanks!
Good morning all .....Justin another awesome review thank you
i like this one. im learning to fly with a meteor pro 75 this one is next on my wishlist😋

it does seam that DarwinFPV's drones have cheaper parts that don't last as long but have good tunes, and are really well priced.
Nice review with some damn nice music. Well done, Greetings from Belgium
Thanks bro!
Thanks for the review, I haven't tried any DarwinFPV products yet but they have some interesting stuff at a good price point for sure.
USB access is easy - usb port is under the rubber grommet on the front of the camera mount!
I just now found that damn thing. 😂
Great review! I was waiting for a review on this drone to see if it is any good with jello etc. About the usb, their website states there is a usb connection in the gopro mount.

Whaddya know! Just found it! 🤣👍🏻

Thanks for testing out those heavy bat... Now I know it can carry 4s 1300mah

I like that aiming point on the camera.
i have been looking at darwin for a little while now i think they are great value, i want their 7 inch and the little freestyle ripper looks decent too
I'd check in the battery tab in Betaflight to check the settings, adjust the cell voltage to 4.35 if it's at 4.2
Yep I didn’t do that for the flight test.
Whats up with the battery voltage? Sag? Did the freestyle part with the action cam?
No sag. It was an hv battery so it wasn’t calibrated
You mentioned about live stream unboxing and setu of this quad
Where is it have been looking for it
Interesting, and seems good value. Is there a USB connector on the GoPro mount that works without taking it all apart?
Yes
Under the gopro mount theres a usb port pull that gummy protection out!!
We got it ;)
The USB port is in the mount at the front and that grey TPU. Its usb c..
There is a USB port built into the camera mount. You just have to take the rubber plug out lol.
lol we know bruh like 6 months ago. ;)
So it can easily fly with a 125gramms cam?! Flight time? Also can we add gps to it to see the home point distance and direction in the googles? thank you!
Hi Justin, looking at the Darwin site it shows the USB port is under the rubber bung on the camera mount....maybe yours was not hooked up?
Nope!
I just ordered one after watching your review🇦🇬
man you're going to love it!
Hi!
I see an arrow on the OSD, the CineApe goes with GPS?
Thanks.
P.D. My own CineApe is coming home right now.
No gps on this ape
I love cinelog25 camera plate, but cineApe can carry more weight.
which one will you recommend for film with analog.
Hello, does anywone know what the max camera angle is? Like 30 degrees or 45 degrees.
hi, how can i get air mode for this drone i only see angle and horizon mode in betaflight, cheers
I was just thinking building 2.5" with 1604 3800kV 5 blades. 1504 might not be bad. Though kV lower.
Pictures have yhe usb plug on the front on top of yhe camera in the gopro mount.

I’ll try to post a screenshot in the community tab
That warning in betaflight is a good measure but the high gain/tracking PiDs we fly on micros are usually in that zone. So, normal and expected

Great review and seams like a good quard
Did you have gps on I see the arrow on it
Hey where can I find the CLI dump for ELRS analog 4S?
Could you pls send me the CLI dump ? I flashed it by mistake and I can't even arm it ;-(
Is it okay to use 1300mah 4s with 120c rating in cineape?
Very very good
It was saying low battery because it thought you had a 5s. Isn't there a USB-C connector in the TPU mount? Thanks for the info and test. I am gonna get one.
Yeah I found it later. Usb in the cam mount
There is a USB-C Port under the Gopro Mount
Yes we know 😆☝🏻
@@dronecamps Oh Ok. One Question: What's your favourite Quad from DarwinFPV and why?
Is there enough room inside to put an 03 air unit?
I don't think so.
I have seen some people putting O3 camera at the gopro mount, and there is a cineape HD version, so maybe you can
Great review. Really like the way you take the quad through its paces and give your honest opinion. Can it carry a caddx walnut?
Do you recommend this over the mobula 8 for freestyle for compact area's?
No. Mobula8 is better for Freestyle.
@@PropellerDestroyer yeah Ended up going for Mobula8 months ago . Thanks though!
Painless 360 usb in GoPro mount
Yes I figured it out later
Damnit now I want one 😂
Haha so cheap. So good 🍕 🏆
can it carry a full sized Gopro?
Same question here I fear the GP12B would be too heavy
Do you think it can carry 4s 1500mah with a gopro(without battery)? Has anyone tried or could someone confirm this? Thank you in advance 🙏🏼

Betaflight thinks your HV 4s lipo is a 5s at low battery.
Alhamdulillah rame
Extremely bad customer service. I don't recommend it.
