When I did the coach mac program I gained about 3 inches. I was already in great shape, so I skipped into the second phase. The 3 inches might not sound like much, but it helped me dunk at 13.

Big Nate I got another question, when should I start working on my leap I can barely dunk on a 9 foot rim and I would like start working out but my older friends say no wait till you stop growing so when should I eventually start working on my vertical?
You can work out while you are still growing. Follow the coach mac program to the letter and don't over train. I did the program at 13 and it helped me get higher.
Missed my first try in HS on a baseline drive with one hand. Was plenty high just back rimmed it. Coach was mad. Missed one in 10th grade but it rattled out and fell back in.
