There’s a reason why PS2 was without a doubt the greatest selling console of its era because it pumped out so much great games we all remember playing as kids. I’m glad I have grown up during that time because it was the golden era of gaming imo.
One of the great things I love about games is that they last longer than our childhood memories. Being able to watch this video may not fully bring us back as if we actually played it ourselves, but we still are able to remember the levels and where we failed, and where we reconnect with the same experiences as with our childhood self.

This is the game where I found out I was a grinder. Always wanted all the weapons and upgrades, so before I finished the entire game, I had already revisited old planets maybe 10 times each to get bolts. Then seeing the path for the gravity boots on the first planet, having not known what it was for, and killing the boss that got me that sweet bolt magnet, it was a wicked addition to collecting even more bolts as I progressed toward the end. This game series, Tak and Tak 2, and Ty the Tasmanian Tiger and Ty 2 made up the majority of time spent on games I played in my childhood. Anyone else notice that the sound at 5:51 seems to be in countless TH-cam videos these days as a sort of canned laughter? Is the origin of this ubiquitous sound effect _really_ Ratchet and Clank 2? I've noticed a similar thing with the alert sound effect from one of the Metal Gear Solid games. Both sound effects are in many TH-cam videos which have no relation to either of these games.
The weapon that said would do the job for me was my priority because I thought it would rescue clank for me. So stupid as a child but so much fun, loved this game and I wish I could play it now.

Now look at it again (2:16:56) after he kills the flying bug. It shot up by more than 10%.
This is the one and only place you want to upgrade this weapon. Kill a handful of these monsters and your upgrade is super easy.
If I recall correctly, you will be able to upgrade before using up all of your ammo. And then of course the upgraded version will be fully charged already.
Hmm I got 6 hours to sleep before work..
Looks like no sleep today
Thanks for this video, a real blast from the past for sure
This game brings back alot of good memories
Those swamp monsters you ride on in the 2nd level creeped me out as a kid. Lol I hated how they looked at you and thought they could bite
This was my first game i played on PS2 :D
I think looking back this was the pinnacle of the series and the pinnacle of insomniac every second of the gameplay is juicy af.
Ratchet and Clank and Jak & Daxter. Amazingness
I replayed this game sooooo many times and I loved how I kept all my weapons each time.
2:54 tiny ratchet and fizzwidget😂😂😂
Bruce Barnes maybe it’s a mess up
What the hell
Anyone else notice that the sound at 5:51 seems to be in countless TH-cam videos these days as a sort of canned laughter? Is the origin of this ubiquitous sound effect _really_ Ratchet and Clank 2?
I've noticed a similar thing with the alert sound effect from one of the Metal Gear Solid games. Both sound effects are in many TH-cam videos which have no relation to either of these games.
2:20:10 Now that, is epic
THIS GAME DEFINED MY CHILDHOOD BRO EVEN THOUGHT THE LAST 2 PLANETS WERE GLITCHED ON MY DISC AND NO AUDIO PLAYED I LOVED THIS GAME
somthing seems off pause video at 2:54 and look at left side XD
The heck :D
The weapon that said would do the job for me was my priority because I thought it would rescue clank for me. So stupid as a child but so much fun, loved this game and I wish I could play it now.
The only thing you left out in this is getting the bolts.
Thankyou for this. It was a mad nostalgia trip!
Amazing recording quality for PS3 dude!
that megacorp elevator music just unlocked my childhood
In my memory the graphic were such better 😩😩❤️

RIGHT
The first ratchet and clank game I played on ps2. Amazing game. Brings back memories.
Anyone else think he looks cuter without the shirt and shoes?
playing ratchet and clank on the ps4 and went back to watch this video. Nostalgia. The jump in graphics are so good i think im okay with not getting a ps5 for a while.
I grew up with this best time of my life so far but it bugs me how he's missing stuff like some platinum bolts and regular bolt/money opportunities
Oh man this brings back memories, i can't even remember when was the last time i've played this.
Maybe 2008 or 2010 idk it's been so long.
God I have this game but it is scratched, should I buy another copy on amazon?
If you have a good pc, you can download pcsx2 and play it for free.
Don't throw it out. If you ever come across a disk grinder, you sand your copy enough that it makes the plastic layer smooth. Try maybe asking Gamestop if they have one since they buy used games.
*YES*
@@FREEDOMSPARTAN playing these on PC just isnt same :D
@@jarskil8862 I know but it is free.
47:14 Leaving work when it's in chaos
