  • Learn how to make this crochet floor pouf that uses only single crochet (well, technically back loop only single crochet, but same difference). This oversized floor pillow is great if you like to sit on the floor to watch movies or play board games, or just be comfy on the floor. To make this crochet project you only need yarn, a crochet hook, a darning needle, and the stuffing of your choosing.

      @@goldenfleececrochetanddesign Do you by chance have an Etsy account with written crochet patterns? If so, how do I get in touch with it?

      I do have an Etsy account for blankets that I design (www.etsy.com/shop/goldenfleecedesign)
      All my patterns on TH-cam are exclusive video tutorials (perhaps I'll have them written up at some point, but currently they are video tutorials).

    This doesn't look too hard to do!
    I have a texture aversion to velvet, so I think I will look for another chunky yarn and give it a try.

      Understandable, I hope that there's a chunky yarn you like! Some folks have been using Bernat blanket yarn

    I really want to make one. So here is a question. Being that I am of voluptuous design will this gorgeous pouf stand the test?🥰😊

    • @goldenfleececrochetanddesign
      @goldenfleececrochetanddesign  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Great question! I am a tall and voluptuous lady and I have been using the yellow pouf pretty often for about 6 months. It's still plush and comfortable. Definitely recommend fluffing it to help puff up the stuffing.
      Now, it was recommended to me recently that torn up foam doesn't flatten out as much. I have not tried this but I'm curious about it.

    Could you theoretically do the same thing with knotting until you get the right dementions?

    • @goldenfleececrochetanddesign
      @goldenfleececrochetanddesign  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think so!

    • @emmadoherty8635
      @emmadoherty8635 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@goldenfleececrochetanddesign So I had a blanket that I was working on, but was only about 1/2 finished with and it was the right-ish dementions so I used it to make a poof, the cinching was just really tough. By 2 rounds I lost the 1st row and it was so thick and tight I just stitched straight through a few times in different directions before tying it off on the inside. Still have to get the stuffing for it though

    Where do you find a darning needle big enough to put that bulky yarn through the hole.

  • @rebekahscavo7973
    @rebekahscavo7973 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Do you think it would work to maybe halve the stitches for a smaller poof? My son's are getting a new room with a little open closet space I want to turn into a reading nook and I love these but I'm not sure if they'll fit in the small space.

    • @goldenfleececrochetanddesign
      @goldenfleececrochetanddesign  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh yes, I think modifying stitch counts would be just fine. These are about 30" In diameter when finished, so to do half size I'd recommend chain 26 (for 25 stitches).

    How many cast on do I need to knit this? I’ m a knitter, tried crochet but can’t do it so must stick to knitting

    • @goldenfleececrochetanddesign
      @goldenfleececrochetanddesign  ปีที่แล้ว

      I am not a knitter, so unfortunately I do not know. I would imagine if you made a flat piece to the measurements this calls for it would come out similar.

    Can I make it bigger? Are there changes if I make it bigger?

    • @goldenfleececrochetanddesign
      @goldenfleececrochetanddesign  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There's no reason why you couldn't make it bigger, you'd have to make your base chain longer and do more rows, I can't say how much yarn/stuffing you'd need. It'll take some experimenting!
