Each to their own and I appreciate the technical challenges involved but Stag's are all about the unique engine. I'm mostly interested in how the sound system works out but i'm not changing mine! :)

Knowing what you now know, how much to do another one?
Could you channel the speaker audio through those exhaust pipes? Seems like a logical thing to do if it's possible? Would mean breaching the boot floor of course, and maybe that's undesirable. Have to be better than chopping a light unit.
I agree that ideally we would bolt to the underside and the sound would come from, or very close to the original exhaust. We would need to get a cable from the boot area to the speaker which is not an issue as there are original drain plugs in the softtop area where we could put a waterproof gland.
Unfortunately because of the way the back of the Stag is shaped underneath the speaker would need to go where the rear silencer used to be. We have used this area to run the high voltage cables from the rear battery to the invertor so there is not enough real estate to fit the speaker as well.
Our solution is to replace both the reversing lights with a circular ring LED light and use the hole where the lamp used to be to get the sound out. We need to louvre the rear lens to let the sound exit without letting water in. Still working on this bit!!
